[Update #2]: No Man’s Sky's Update 4.0 is all about fine-tuning your gameplay experience and level of challenge.
[Update]: No Man's Sky's July Endurance update has overhauled freighters and added strange organic frigates.
No Man's Sky's previous Sentinel update overhauled ground combat and added new robotic AI companions, and now the freshly released Outlaws update has done something very similar for space combat! As such, you're now able to recruit roaming pilots into your squadron, manage and train them to improve their skills and efficiency, and then have them accompany you in large-scale battles or simply to watch the fancy new destruction effects for ships, asteroids, freighters and space cargo.
There are now also outlaw stations scattered throughout the galaxy, completely devoid of any authority or protection. While potentially dangerous, these outlaw stations are a great place to acquire new technology, trade with contraband items, as well as undertake a variety of new missions. And if you're so inclined, you can also attempt to smuggle some of these ill-gotten goods to other systems for a large profit... provided you can manage to avoid getting caught by the Sentinel authorities!

[Update]: Hearthstone's March of the Lich King expansion has added a brand new class - the Death Knight.
After a whole bunch of teasers and previews, Hearthstone's Voyage to the Sunken City expansion has now finally arrived. It brings with it a boatload of new cards including creatures so gigantic they simply can't fit on a single one, Naga as an interesting new minion type to experiment with, as well as a whole bunch of changes to the Core Set.
First things first, allow me to share with you the rather unique cinematic trailer alongside a brief rundown of the three main new keywords and mechanics:

[Update]: Final Fantasy XIV's major Patch 6.3 is set to launch on January 10th, 2023 with a whole bunch of new content.
With the main storyline now concluded thanks to the Endwalker expansion, it's time for Final Fantasy XIV to head towards a brand new adventure. As such, thanks to the freshly released Patch 6.1, you can expect to see an assortment of new Main Scenario quests that will have your character return to the humble and carefree life of an adventurer... at least for a short while anyway!
Besides the new storyline, Patch 6.1 has also fully reworked PvP actions in order to make things simpler to control and understand, yet more complex to master. Similarly, maximum HP, MP and damage modifiers have been rebalanced across the board, while all incoming and outgoing damage will now be completely predictable and no longer subject to RNG. Add to that a brand new 5v5 game mode by the name of Crystalline Conflict, and you've got yourself quite the PvP update!

[Update #2]: Overwatch 2's closed beta has now begun, and soon everyone will be able to jump in.
[Update]: As expected, Blizzard has now detailed Sojourns abilities and playstyle!
Almost exactly two years have gone by since Echo joined the Overwatch roster, so in order to celebrate this little anniversary Blizzard has now decided to reveal some lore about one of the new heroes - Sojourn. While the actual gameplay details are still mostly rooted in rumors and speculation, we at least have a shred of information about Sojourn's backstory!
So if you're curious what she's all about, as well as what her role in Overwatch was before she moved on, you can find your answers in the origin trailer below. Have a gander:

[Update #2]: Back 4 Blood will not be getting any more content updates as Turtle Rock Studios are now working on a brand new game.
[Update]: Back 4 Blood's Children of the Worm expansion has now added a new story chapter, enemies and more.
Many months and balance updates have gone by, but Back 4 Blood's very first bit of new content has now finally arrived. The freshly released Tunnels of Terror DLC brings with it two new characters, three new zombie variants, as well as Ridden Hives that serve as optional PvE challenges you can dive as you push through the story campaign.
You can also expect to see some fancy new player and weapon skins, new legendary weapons and attachments, as well as a variety of cards to help spice up the gameplay. The one bit of bad news is that the DLC has has not added any new maps or campaign levels to explore, so outside of the brief excursions into the Ridden Hives you're mostly going to be slicing and dicing your way across the same old locations.

Instead of going with the usual barrage of spin-off games across multiple platforms, it looks like Square Enix will be diving straight into Kingdom Hearts 4! Similarly, while the usual suspects like Sora, Donald and Goofy will be making a reappearance, Kingdom Hearts 4 will be a part of a brand new adventure and storyline labeled the "Lost Master Arc".
The setting will be quite different as well, because instead focusing on a variety of Disney inspired worlds, Kingdom Hearts 4 has so far only revealed a large and expansive modern-day city! A bit of a surprising direction for the series, though certainly a welcome one as the Kingdom Hearts formula could use a little bit of a shakeup after Kingdom Hearts 3.

[Update #2]: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous third expansion, The Treasure of The Midnight Isles, is a standalone roguelike adventure.
[Update]: The Through the Ashes expansion has now arrived, and unsurprisingly, it's done so alongside quite a few bugs.
After the somewhat disappointing Inevitable Excess DLC, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous studio Owlcat Games will soon have a chance to set things right with the second big expansion. And when I say soon, I really do mean that as the freshly unveiled Through the Ashes DLC will be launching on April 21st, 2022 for PC.
According to the brief description from the Season Pass, Through the Ashes will be a standalone campaign following a group of characters from Kenabres as they attempt to survive in the demon infested city. Two of these characters have been revealed so far: a no-nonsense thiefling by the name of Rekarth, and a light-hearted and easily distracted gnome mage Sendri. An usual duo, but I suppose a demon god appearing in the middle of your city has a tendency to get people to band together regardless of their differences!

[Update]: After nearly a decade, Guild Wars 2's Living World Season 1: Flame and Frost has now returned!
The original Living World Season 1 updates were never designed to be replayed, and so once each of the episodes was over all of their content and storylines would simply disappear. Needless to say, this ended up being quite a problem over the years as some of the main characters and plotlines ended up having their introductions removed from the game entirely, thus leaving new players in a very awkward position.
A whole decade has gone by since then, but I'm happy to say that ArenaNet has now finally decided to bring back all of Living World Season 1, and permanently at that! You can expect the very first episode "Flame and Frost" to make its glorious return this April 19th, 2022.

[Update #2]: Overwatch 2 devs have detailed the Doomfist and Orisa reworks ahead of the April 26th Closed Beta.
[Update]: Blizzard has unveiled Sojourn's origin story in preparation for the upcoming Overwatch 2 beta.
Since finding enough tanks to start a match has been a consistent problem in Overwatch for the past few years, Blizzard has opted to make Overwatch 2 a 5v5 affair. Naturally, since each team will only have one tank, all of the current tanks have undergone reworks in order to beef up their survivability, utility and even damage output.
According to the freshly released developer update, it also looks like the classic Overwatch maps will be going through a similar process! While the exact details are still few and far between, you can expect to see a bunch of new cover added to the various maps, as well as potentially even lighting changes to make certain areas easier or more difficult to see.

[Update]: Age of Empires 4's free 25th anniversary update will be adding Ottomans and Malians on October 25th.
After spending a fair bit of time in testing, Age of Empires IV's massive Season 1 update has now arrived. The most exciting addition is the new Content Editor which allows you to create or tweak your own maps, toy around with unit stats and abilities, assemble your very own rules for randomly generated maps that can be used for skirmishes and multiplayer, as well as build entirely new game modes!
Best of all, the Age of Empires IV team has gone to great lengths to ensure the freshly released Content Editor is as simple to use as possible. So if you just want to dive in and start messing around with the maps, you can find everything you need to know over at the official guide.
