Guild Wars 2 artwork for the Flame and Frost storyline

[Update]: Sky Pirates, the second part of Guild Wars 2's return to the long-lost Living World Season 1, has now arrived.

After nearly a decade of being unavailable, the Guild Wars 2 team has finally figured out a way to bring back Living World Season 1. So if you weren't around for the original run, or if you're simply in the mood for a bit of nostalgia, you'll be happy to hear that the very first episode Flame and Frost has now arrived.

Best of all, these re-released episodes aren't going be simple copies of the old ones. Instead you can expect to see them restructured as linear stories you can enjoy at your own pace, the open-world content integrated into the base game, and the accompanying achievements updated so you can finally get some of those fancy cosmetics.

With the playerbase rapidly dwindling year after year, it was only a matter of time. As such I'm sad to inform you that after a decade of action, at least in the West, Bluehole's combat-focused MMORPG Tera is closing down its doors for good.

New Tera account registrations will be deactivated on May 31st, 2022, while the servers themselves will be going down on June 30th, 2022 at 10am CEST. There will also be no refunds for purchased or remaining currency, though if you have Tera Club membership that will run beyond June 30th, you can contact support for at least a partial refund.

World of Warcraft's Dragonflight artwork without logo

[Update #2]: World of Warcraft is finally adding cross-faction dungeons and PvP with Update 8.2.5 this June 1st, 2022!

[Update]: Wrath of the Lich King Classic has also been announced, and it will be launching in 2022 without the controversial Dungeon Finder!

Given the many, many leaks and rumors over the past few months, it might not come as too much of a surprise to hear that World of Warcraft's next and freshly announced expansion will be called Dragonflight. No exact release date has been announced just yet, but even if we assume Dragonflight will be unleashed in record time, we'll still most likely have to wait until early 2023.

As far as the new content is concerned, the star attraction is definitely the new draconic class/race combination - the Dracthyr Evoker. The two new additions will be exclusively tied together, so the Dracthyr won't be able to play as any other class, and no other race will be able to roll an Evoker. In terms of playstyle, however, the Evoker will give you a choice between a healer and a ranged damage-dealer, both of which will wear mail armor.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition artwork for the Dynasties of India expansion

[Update]: Right on cue, Dynasties of India has now been unleashed!

Age of Empires II may be more than twenty years old at this point, but it doesn't seem to be showing any signs of slowing down. Its competitive scene is more vibrant than ever despite Age of Empires IV adding a bit of friendly competition, and now there's even a brand new expansion coming to help spice things up further.

Once it arrives this April 28th, Dynasties of India will bring with it three new playable civilizations to Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition (Bengalis, Dravidians and Gurjaras), three new and fully voice acted campaigns, as well as an assortment of new units, buildings and achievements to toy around with.

No More Heroes 3 official artwork with the logo

[Update]: No More Heroes 3 has now arrived, and while the game is fun, the PC port is unfortunately a bit barebones.

After spending about a year exclusively on the Nintendo Switch, the comedic hack and slash adventure No More Heroes 3 is now getting ready to embrace a bunch of new platforms. You can expect to see it land onto PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S in Fall 2022, though no exact date has been given just yet.

As far as the improvements are concerned, so far it looks like No More Heroes 3 will bring with it the usual fare. In other words, there will be improved visuals, higher and more stable framerates, as well as faster loading times to get you into the action as quickly as possible.

XCOM 2 gameplay screenshot of the character aiming

At this point I'm basically convinced XCOM 3 is going to get announced some time soon. Not only has XCOM 2 been a part of one massive sale after another for the past few months, but Firaxis is now giving it away for free as well!

So if you're in the mood for some turn-based strategy goodness, head on over to the Epic Games Store to grab yourself a free copy of XCOM 2. The giveaway will only last until April 21st, however, so do make sure to add it to your account as soon as you can. Once you've done that you won't have to worry about any sort of time limits - it'll be yours to keep.

Cyberpunk 2077 official artwork and logo

[Update #2]: Cyberpunk 2077's very first expansion Phantom Liberty will be heading to PC and consoles in 2023.

[Update]: CDPR has unleashed a roguelike singleplayer expansion for Gwent - Rogue Mage.

As a part of the recent financial call, CD Projekt Red has revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 has an expansion currently in the works. While the details are basically nonexistent, you can expect to see it arrive at some point in 2023. More information, along with the full reveal, will be coming later this year.

The good news doesn't end there as The Molasses Flood, the studio behind The Flame in the Flood and Drake Hollow, are currently working on a brand new game based on one of CD Project Red's franchises. Considering that CD Project Red has only created games in the Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 universes, it's definitely going to be one of those two. Which one, however, that we're going to have to wait a little while in order to find out.

Diablo 2: Resurrected artwork for Mephisto

[Update]: After years of silence, Diablo Immortal is heading into open beta for PC and mobile in July 2022.

After being delayed for a couple of weeks in order to ensure a newfound bug doesn't mess anything up, Diablo 2: Resurrected's hefty Patch 2.4 has now finally arrived. The update brings with it a variety of buffs to some previously underutilized or straight up terrible abilities, as well as paves the way for the long-awaited competitive Ladder.

Once Season 1 properly starts this April 28th you'll have a chance to compete in four different modes: Classic which encompasses the first four acts, Hardcore Classic where you only have one life to play around with, Expansion Ladder that spans all of Diablo 2: Resurrected's content, as well as Hardcore Expansion Ladder. Each mode will require you to start with a completely fresh character, so even if you've just started playing Diablo 2: Resurrected, it'll be an entirely even playing field.

With the Overwatch 2 closed beta nearly upon us, Blizzard has now finally begun releasing some actually interesting new information. A short while ago they revealed Sojourn's backstory and motivation, and now they have detailed what exactly this new DPS hero is even capable of!

Without further ado, allow me to share with you the brief gameplay trailer showing off her abilities, as well as an equally brief rundown of what each of them really does. Have a look:

If you're in the mood for some oldschool turn-based tactics action, you might want to keep an eye on the upcoming Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia. After spending nearly two years on PlayStation 4 and Switch, The Legend of Runersia and its vast quantities of units will be coming to PC via Steam on May 11th, 2022.

Since gameplay is king when it comes to turn-based tactics games, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. It should give you a pretty good idea of what The Legend of Runersia is trying to do. Have a gander:
