[Update]: Patch 6.3 is now live. Have fun with all of the new stuff!

A fair few months have gone by since Final Fantasy XIV's Patch 6.2, so I hope you're nice and ready for an influx of brand new content. I say this because the rather chunky Patch 6.3 will be launching tomorrow, on January 10th!

You can expect to see a new dungeon and raid, a variety of new main and side quests to dive into, a bunch of new additions for Island Sanctuaries, as well as a whole host of new items, cosmetics and corgi-themed accessories. There's also going to be new treasures maps leading you to delicious loot, new craftable items to decorate your house, as well as an assortment fixes and quality-of-life improvements to spruce up the endgame.

There's far too many changes to easily summarize, so if you're interested in all of the details you can find what you seek over at the patch notes. If you're wondering what some of these additions look like in action, however, that you can check out through the teaser trailer below. Have a peek:

The good news doesn't end there, however, as the Final Fantasy XIV team has already announced a couple of follow-up updates. As such, you can look forward to Patch 6.31 adding The Omega Protocol Ultimate raid, while Patch 6.35 will bring with it Manderville weapon quests and further hijinks with Hildibrand, among other things. So regardless of what sort of playstyle you might have, there should be quite a lot to do over the next few months.

Once Patch 6.3 is live and everything is in working order, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then you can read a little bit more about Final Fantasy XIV and its future over at the official website. Enjoy!
