[Update]: Final Fantasy XIV's major Patch 6.3 is set to launch on January 10th, 2023 with a whole bunch of new content.

With the main storyline now concluded thanks to the Endwalker expansion, it's time for Final Fantasy XIV to head towards a brand new adventure. As such, thanks to the freshly released Patch 6.1, you can expect to see an assortment of new Main Scenario quests that will have your character return to the humble and carefree life of an adventurer... at least for a short while anyway!

Besides the new storyline, Patch 6.1 has also fully reworked PvP actions in order to make things simpler to control and understand, yet more complex to master. Similarly, maximum HP, MP and damage modifiers have been rebalanced across the board, while all incoming and outgoing damage will now be completely predictable and no longer subject to RNG. Add to that a brand new 5v5 game mode by the name of Crystalline Conflict, and you've got yourself quite the PvP update!

Just to spice things up, there's also a new 24-player Alliance Raid "Myths of the Realm, Part 1: Aglaia", a challenging new trial "The Minstrel’s Ballad: Endsinger’s Aria", as well as the return of the Ultima Weapon in "Unreal Trial: Ultima’s Bane". And if you don't particularly care about end-game challenges, a new residential district has also opened up in Ishgard.

The final major inclusion is the ability to play A Realm Reborn main scenario dungeons and trials alongside a party of NPCs. Right now this system is limited to only a small batch of dungeons and trials, though it be expanded to support all of the expansions and their content with future updates.

You can read more about this, as well as check out the exact numbers behind each of the changes, over at the official website. Have fun, and I'll leave you with the brief trailer:
