Artwork and logo for the indie action-adventure game Stray starring a loveable cat

In a bit of a divergence from the usually over-the-top cyberpunk formula, Stray is a freshly released action-adventure following a cat making a mess out of things in a seemingly long-lost metropolis. As you might imagine the gameplay is all about jumping around to explore the neon-lit world, doing a light bit of puzzle-solving, making friends with the surprisingly human-like robots, and naturally, knocking fragile objects off tall surfaces!

Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It should clue you in quite quickly on just what Stray is all about. Have a peek:

[Update #2]: Vampire Survivors has now been unleashed from Early Access alongside a sizable content update.

[Update]: Vampire Survivors "The Not One" update has added two new secret characters and a wildcard weapon.

Despite Vampire Survivors being nearly finished, the developers don't seem to be all that interested in slowing down with the influx of new content. As such, two weeks after the last major patch, the Vampire Survivors team has now unleashed yet another update!

Update 0.9 - The Flashy One brings with it Boss Rush as a brand new challenge mode, a strange new character and accompanying weapon, as well as two new Arcanas to toy around with. Here's a small teaser of what this looks like in action:

As the name might suggest, Dicey Dungeons is a turn-based roguelike where you get to smash through scores of adorable critters by rolling a whole bunch of dice, all the while playing as a giant walking dice yourself. It's a ridiculous concept, but the gameplay itself is remarkably fun, and things have just gotten even better!

In an update that came pretty much out of nowhere, Dicey Dungeons' free DLC "Reunion" has now added a sizable chunk of new content to explore. Each character has their own extra episode to go through, there's a variety of new equipment to mess around with, and as is tradition, the gameplay formula has been shaken up yet again to help keep things fresh and interesting.

It took a whole lot longer than anyone could've expected, but Cuphead's very first expansion The Delicious Last Course has now arrived. It brings with it Ms. Chalice as a brand new character with her own moveset and perks, and as you might expect, a whole bunch of deviously delightful new stages and bosses to smash your head against.

What this looks like in action, that you can get the briefest of peeks at through the recently posted trailer. It's not a long one, but it's more than enough to let you know that the splendid animation style has not been compromised even one bit. Have a look:

[Update]: Vampire Survivors Update 0.9 - The Flashy One has added Bosh Rush and even more toys to play around with

Barely any time has gone by since Patch 0.7.2 added a new map and bunch of new characters to play around with, and already the Vampire Survivors team has returned with a brand new batch of toys. Patch 0.7.3, also known as "The Posh One", brings with it a brand new character and weapon, as well as two new Arcanas to experiment with.

Best of all, you don't even need to unlock the new weapon La Robba in order to use it. The friendly merchant you can meet at the beginning of every stage (once you've unlocked him anyway) can sell it to you for a small bit of gold. La Robba essentially throws random bits of bouncing garbage at your enemies, which given enough buffs, can result in some hilarious moments where you get to watch death itself get repeatedly pelted with office furniture.

[Update]: Vampire Survivors' "The Posh One" update has added a wacky new weapon and improved the Hurry mode!

After the remarkably bizarre Update 0.6.66, Vampire Survivors' newest Update 0.7.2 has now brought us back to a mostly normal state of affairs. There's now a brand new level to explore by the name of Cappella Magna, three new characters to acquire (two of which are secret), as well as a variety of new items and Arcanas to help spice things up.

First things first, if you're curious what some of these new additions look like in action, allow me to share with you the freshly posted teaser trailer. Have a gander, it's just as weird as the rest of them:

[Update]: Spark the Electric Jester 3 has now made its way onto Steam alongside a mostly positive reception.

If you've found yourself disappointed with the recently unveiled Sonic Frontiers gameplay, you might want to give the upcoming Spark the Electric Jester 3 a look. To put it quite simply, it's a fast paced action-platformer heavily inspired by some of the more popular 3D Sonic games like Sonic Adventure. Expect to see plenty of rails hoisted over gigantic drops, levels that reward you for going through them as quickly as possible, a variety of shiny gems to collect, and as is tradition, a fair few loop-de-loops to help spice everything up!

Since words alone tend to fare pretty poorly at describing these types of platformers, allow me to instead share with you the recently posted trailer for the Pacific Abyss level. Have a gander, it's a rather solid one:

[Update]: Vampire Survivors June 2022 update has added a new stage, three characters and a couple of items!

The Vampire Survivors team has just unleashed Patch 0.6.1 - The Weird One, and after playing through most of it I can confidently say the name is well deserved. More on that in just a second.

First things first, Patch 0.6.1 brings with it two new Arcanas to play around with, one more rank for the Skip power-up, an in-game shop that lets you convert gold to temporary items or minuscule permanent upgrades, as well as a brand new bonus stage by the name of Moonglow. The latter is quite a bizarre map as it has all of the game's power-ups simply strewn across the floor for you to grab at your leisure, as well as a low amount of enemies and a massive amount of torches and pots to smash.

In a bit of a departure from their usual formula, Stunlock Studios have now released their vampire themed survival and crafting game V Rising into Early Access. As you might imagine given the mixture of genres and themes, V Rising is all about building the coolest evil castle you can possibly think of, plundering the countryside for valuable resources and food, as well as doing your best to avoid getting destroyed by the searing daylight, holy hunters, or just your fellow players with a nasty grudge!

What all of this looks like in action, that you can get a pretty good idea of through the launch trailer below. Have a gander, it's a rather fun one:

Artwork for the exploration and survival focused RPG Outward and its new Definitive Edition

If you're in the mood for a brutal yet engaging exploration-focused RPG, quite similar to the Gothic or Risen series, you might want to check out Outward's new and improved version. Outward: Definitive Edition comes bundled with both of the previous expansions, a variety of quality-of-life improvements, as well as a bunch of new content to help spice everything up. Naturally, since this is Outward we're talking about, some of that new content has been specifically designed to mess up your day in creative ways!

What this might look like in action, as well as what sort of locations you'll get to explore in Outward, that you can find out through the surprisingly musical trailer below. Have a gander, it's a pretty good one:
