[Update]: The Destroy All Humans! 2 remake has now been unleashed onto PC and consoles.
If you're in the mood for some ridiculously over-the-top violence starring a permanently perturbed alien, you might want to check out the newly launched Destroy All Humans! remake. It brings with it greatly improved visuals and effects, the long-rumored Area 42 mission, an assortment of unique and frequently obscene weaponry, and most importantly of all, the same style of cheesy humor as the original.
You can get a pretty good idea of what this kind of madness looks like in gameplay terms through one of the recent trailers. Have a peek, it's a certainly a wacky one:

The new update brings with it an assortment of new cosmetics to collect, some nice quality of life improvements, three new challenges to complete over the course of the next three weeks, as well as major changes for the Lucioball game mode.

[Update #2]: After two years of updates, Grounded has now finally been unleashed from Early Access!
[Update]: Grounded's newest update has added a massive bird and a new perk system!
In a bit of an unusual, though not unwelcome twist, Obsidian has decided to set their newest survival game Grounded not on some sort of bizarre alien planet, but rather in a completely average backyard. The catch, as you might imagine, is that you will be exploring this backyard while shrunk down to the size of an ant!
This kind of miniaturized predicament brings with it a whole new set of challenges and enemies to face off against, as well as an entirely new perspective on the world around you. I just hope you don't mind spiders since they can be absolutely terrifying when they're three times your size and potentially hiding in any sort of nook or cranny!

[Update]: Newest Valorant update has nerfed Sage and Killjoy, as well as finally buffed the Vandal!
After briefly teasing her a few days ago, Valorant devs have now unleashed the very first post-launch Agent - Killjoy. The German robotics expert brings with her an automated turret, an alarm-bot to help secure flanks, as well as a remotely detonated bomb that deals a considerable amount of damage over time. Perhaps most interestingly of all, her ultimate is a device that takes a long time to get going, but once it fires its pulse, every enemy within range will lose the ability to do anything other than scurry away in fear!
You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks in gameplay terms through the recently posted Agent trailer. Have a gander, Killjoy is certainly an odd one:

[Update]: The Summer Games 2020 event is now live, and while it hasn't brought in a brand new game mode, it has greatly improved Lucioball!
While Blizzard used to tease upcoming events weeks in advance, these past few months they have taken the completely opposite approach. As such, it might come as a bit of a surprise to hear that the Overwatch Summer Games 2020 event has now not only been announced, but also set to release today!
Because of the short timeframe before release, the full list of new cosmetics is still unknown. However, the two Legendary skins Blizzard has revealed so far are absolutely gorgeous, especially the Lifeguard Pharah one! You can find the two brief teasers over at Twitter, and while they're sadly a bit low quality, they will give you a pretty good taste of what is to come.

[Update]: Overwatch devs have launched an experimental update to address the Double Shield meta.
Out of all the game modes in Overwatch, Assault (2CP) is by far the least popular, and for good reason. Assault games frequently end up as either one-sided stomps or eternal stalemates, all the while the intentionally unfair spawning points make each death incredibly frustrating.
Blizzard has tried to fix this game mode many times before, but while they have improved it slightly, it still remains a bit of a sore spot for many players. With that in mind, you might be interested to hear that Blizzard hasn't given up on the game mode just yet! Instead, they are internally working on a whole bunch of variations in order to figure out just what works, what doesn't, and what can still be salvaged.

[Update #2]: Shadow Warrior 3's pre-launch preview shows off wacky enemies, even more bad jokes and loads of colorful explosions!
[Update]: It's official, Shadow Warrior 3 will be launching on March 1, 2022!
Much like its predecessors, the upcoming Shadow Warrior 3 will be a fast-paced combination of melee and ranged combat, ridiculous enemies and way, way too many puns for a single person to bear. In terms of improvements, however, Shadow Warrior 3 is also bringing in a grappling hook to even further emphasize mobility and aggression, far more colorful levels to explore and ransack, and naturally, even more over-the-top weaponry to toy around with.
As for what exactly all of this looks like in gameplay terms, that you can find out through the recently posted and rather lengthy preview. Have a gander, it's a pretty fun one:

[Update #2]: Total War: Troy's Amazons DLC is charging in on September 24th and will be free for two weeks!
[Update]: Total War: Troy has been unleashed, and it is indeed entirely free to grab for the first 24 hours!
In a bit of a departure from how the rest of the series was handled, Total War: Troy will be launching this August 13th exclusively for the Epic Games Store. While this might be considered a major downside to some, it's also well worth mentioning that Troy will be entirely free to grab for 24 hours after launch!
The good news doesn't end there, however, as Creative Assembly has now announced that Troy's very first DLC will also be a freebie. So once the all-female Amazons arrive at some point this September, you'll be able to grab them for free through Total War Access, much like some of Total War: Warhammer 2's free DLCs.

While Starcraft 2's Map Editor is quite impressive and far more advanced than its Warcraft 3 counterpart, it unfortunately has one rather crippling issue - it is too complex for beginners. The best example of this is the process to change a single character model. In Warcraft 3 this was as simple as going to a drop-down menu and selecting what you like, whereas in Starcraft 2 you pretty much need an online guide in order to figure out what in the world you're even looking for.
With that in mind, I am very happy to say that this newest update has now greatly improved and simplified the Map Editor. While it may have taken Blizzard far too many years to do this, the Starcraft 2 editor has now finally taken cues from the Warcraft 3 one and offers a variety of functions and features through easy-to-use menus. So if you ever wanted to make your own map but didn't even know where to start, this new update is definitely worth checking out.

[Update]: After a successful beta, World of Warcraft Classic's fresh servers are coming this November 16 with the Season of Mastery.
Out of all the events throughout all of World of Warcraft, the original opening of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj is probably the most memorable. Not only did it require the combined efforts of an entire server in order to kickstart the invasion, but it also brought in two highly mysterious and long-awaited raids.
While the mystery is sadly long gone at this point, what with us knowing everything including C'thun's favorite brand of eyeliner, you can at least experience a bit of that oldschool excitement now! In other words, as a part of the latest World of Warcraft: Classic update, the Ahn'Qiraj event has just returned in all of its glory!
