[Update]: The comprehensive Resident Evil 4 Remake has now arrived alongside solid reviews and a free demo.
If you enjoyed Resident Evil 7 in VR and you are itching to get your hands on the VR version of Resident Evil 4 VR as well, I have both good news and bad news to deliver. The good, as you might imagine, is that after a few months of teasing Resident Evil 4 VR has now finally been unleashed!
As for the bad news, that would be the unfortunate exclusivity. Resident Evil 4 VR is only available for the Oculus Quest 2, which means that you can't play it on any other platform, not even Oculus' previous headsets! Whether that will change in the future, nobody currently knows, so for now all we can do is hope.

After spending around two years in Steam's Early Access program, the digital adaptation of the popular board game Gloomhaven has now finally been unleashed in full. The launch version brings with it 17 unique characters, the complete board game campaign, an additional digital-only campaign, the ability to play both solo and co-op with up to four players, and the list goes on for a while.
What all of this looks like in action, that you can get a pretty good impression of through the recent gameplay overview trailer. Have a peek, it's quite an informative one:

Over the past couple of weeks Creative Assembly has revealed a whole bunch of information about the daemons of Tzeentch, the forces of Grand Cathay, as well as the all-important siege rework. Now that we know the basics, it's finally time to combine the three!
So if you're wondering what a clash between Tzeentch and Cathay might look like, as well as just how multi-layered the new siege maps truly are, allow me to share with you the rather lengthy and overly dramatic gameplay preview. Have a gander:

[Update #2]: Season 11 "Escape" has now arrived, and so far it's been a remarkably smooth launch.
[Update]: Apex Legends' new Season 11 preview highlights Ash and the new monster-infested Storm Point map.
While we're still in the early days of its reveal, it seems like Apex Legends' Season 11 update "Escape" will be a rather chunky one. Not only will we be getting Titanfall 2's antagonist Ash and the C.A.R. SMG alongside the usual batch of balance changes and cosmetics, but also a lovely, tropical new map to roam around in!
The details are unfortunately still few and far between, though you can get a pretty good impression of what's coming through two of the recent trailers. The first one is a story-focused animated short showing off just what Ash is all about, while the second one is more of a 'fun' romp across the new island. Have a little peek:

[Update]: End of Dragons' fourth beta event is arriving on November 30, 2021 alongside the Siege Turtle mount!
After revealing six of the nine new specializations throughout the previous two beta events, Guild Wars 2 will soon be shining the spotlight on what the Thief, Engineer and Ranger will be getting in End of Dragons. So if you'd like to take the new specializations for a spin and see how they perform in actual endgame content, you'll be happy to hear that the third beta event will be running from October 26 to October 30.
Instead of babbling on, allow me to share with you the recently posted previews for each of the specializations. The first one is for the Thief based Specter, the second for the Engineer based Mechinist, and the third for the Ranger based Untamed. Have a gander:

[Update #2]: Good news! Blizzard has now released a Cassidy/McCree comic alongside an in-game collection event!
[Update]: I'm afraid the update was extremely uneventful. All that happened was that McCree was renamed to Cole Cassidy. There was no event, no story, and no in-game explanation.
Due to the recent streak of sexual harassment accusations, and Blizzard's new policy to remove any and all references to employees from their games, Overwatch's McCree will be getting a name change. However, instead of simply renaming him and calling it a day, the whole thing will be handled through a lore-focused update this October 26th.
Whether this will be a comic, a short novel like they've done in the past or perhaps something we can engage with inside Overwatch itself, nobody currently knows. What I can tell you is that there will be a fair few arguments about what to call Overwatch's favorite gunslinger over the next few weeks as Jesse McCree's real name has now been revealed as Cole Cassidy.

[Update #2]: FromSoftware have now finally shared the minimum and recommended PC system specs for Elden Ring.
[Update]: Elden Ring's previews offer a closer look at the story, combat and mounted exploration.
Considering how little we've heard about Elden Ring ever since it was first revealed, I'm pretty sure you know exactly what's coming next - FromSoftware has just announced that Elden Ring has been delayed and will now be launching on February 25, 2022.
"Elden Ring will release on Feb 25, 2022, as the depth & strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations," explains the brief developer update. "Thank you for your trust & patience. We look forward to seeing you experience the game in the Closed Network Test in Nov."

[Update]: After a fair bit of testing, Shadowlands' quality-of-life focused Update 9.1.5 has now arrived onto the live servers.
While it doesn't offer much in terms of new content, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' update 9.1.5 brings with it an assortment of quality-of-life changes and tweaks, many of which the players have been requesting since Shadowlands launched. Once the update arrives you'll be able to freely swap Covenants, mess around with new customization options for Allied Races (including major Nightborne additions), solo Island expeditions, level alts in Torghast, and the list goes on for a while.
The most exciting addition, however, is directly related to the upcoming Legion Timewalking event. Not only will we be able to dive into Legion Mythic+ dungeons for the very first time since Legion ended, but the fan-favorite and singleplayer focused Mage Tower will also be making a return alongside a whole host of new cosmetics to collect!

[Update #2]: God of War has now landed onto PC, and so far the port seems remarkably solid.
[Update]: God of War devs have now detailed the PC system requirements and expected performance.
In an announcement that came completely out of left field, Sony has revealed that one of PlayStation 4's biggest hits, God of War, is soon coming to PC! You can expect to see it arrive on January 14, 2022 alongside a variety of visual improvements.
So far it looks like the PC version of God of War will come with 4K support, unlocked framerates, higher resolution shaders, improved reflections, as well as GTAO and SSDO. Additionally, God of War will fully support keyboard & mouse controls as well as ultra-wide displays, and offer a variety of graphical settings to mess around with.

[Update #2]: The next-gen update has arrived just as suddenly as it was announced, and by the looks of things it's only for the console versions.
[Update]: Nothing new has been said about the next gen update, but Dying Light did just get a new content update for the Hellraid DLC!
Much like the zombies that infests its streets, the original Dying Light simply doesn't understand what it means to give up. Despite releasing all the way back in 2015, the Dying Light team has been releasing both paid and free updates at a fairly decent frequency for a mostly singleplayer experience, with the last of the bunch releasing this October!
With all of that in mind, it might not even come as much of a surprise to hear that Techland has yet another big addition planned! However, instead of being gameplay focused, this one will be mostly technical - a next-gen update.
