[Update #2]: FromSoftware has now shared a detailed preview showing off the combat, story and environments.

[Update]: FromSoftware have now finally shared the minimum and recommended PC system specs for Elden Ring.

After what feels like an eternity of silence, FromSoftware is now finally starting to open up and share some actual details about Elden Ring! So if you're curious what the much-anticipated action-RPG will bring with it on February 25, 2022, allow me to share with you two of the recent previews.

The first one is the classic cinematic intro setting up the world and the important characters, while the second one is a lengthy, gameplay-focused showcase of everything Elden Ring has to offer. Have a gander, it's quite a ride:

While there are some major differences from the previous games, especially when it comes to the exploration, Elden Ring is still at its very core a Souls game. The combat is still all about taking your time, dodging and weaving between enemy attacks, and then seizing every opportunity you can to strike before the enemy overwhelms you. A simple enough formula, and one that has worked wonders before, so I have no doubt that Elden Ring will be a great bit of fun to mess around with as well.

Should something happen before release that makes me eat my words, I'll make sure to let you know, though I must admit I'm not exactly worried. For now, however, you can learn a little bit more about Elden Ring over at the official website.
