Stormlands is Insomniac's newly announced and rather beautiful VR action-adventure

[Update]: Insomniac has now released a new trailer highlighting the story and visuals!
While VR has some impressive games, very few of them are truly visually stunning given the already immense hardware requirements. With that in mind, I am very pleased to announce that Insomnic Games' upcoming VR adventure Stormlands belongs to that rather exclusive group.
Besides simply ogling the world, Stormlands will allow you quite a bit of freedom when it comes to actually exploring it. You can choose to run from location to location, fly through slipstreams, bounce of ramps, scale sheer cliffs, and even glide through the air despite being a somewhat rusty robot! If you're wondering what all of this craziness might look like in-game, here's the recently posted E3 trailer. Have a gander:
Just Cause devs are working on a robot-smashing co-op shooter called Generation Zero
- By Ash
- in News
Up until recently every post-apocalyptic game was littered with zombies and mutants, though these days it seems that the game developer's ire is turning towards sentient machines. In Generation Zero's case, the killer machines in question will be invading the serene countryside of 1980's Sweden, thus leaving it up to you and your friends to politely escort them out.
Since trying to take down fully armed combat robots is not exactly an easy task, in Generation Zero you will have to utilize a variety of guerrilla tactics in order to succeed. In other words, you'll have to place numerous traps, bait enemies into ambushes, cripple the most threatening ones from a distance, and if all else fails, gun them down with a combination of unique skills and weapons. Make it out alive and you'll be able to scavenge weapons and armor from your robotic foes, thus further enabling you to cause delicious, delicious chaos.
Cuphead is getting a Delicious Last Course (DLC) with a new character, bosses, weapons, and more

[Update]: Cuphead - The Delicious Last Course has arrived with a new character and deviously delightful new bosses.
If you can't get enough of Cuphead's delightful art style, or the punishment it dishes out in droves, I'm sure you'll be interested to hear that the developers have now announced a DLC, or rather a Delicious Last Course! You can expect to see Ms. Chalice as a brand new character with her own unique abilities, new weapons and charms, and naturally, a whole bunch of new and devious bosses to endlessly retry.
Since it's probably a criminal act to talk about Cuphead and not show off its animation, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. It's not exactly long, but it'll give you a pretty decent idea of what to expect from the upcoming DLC. Have a peek:
A brand new Battletoads game has been announced for PC and Xbox One

[Update]: The hand-drawn spiritual successor to Battletoads has recently landed onto PC and Xbox!
As if the poor Gamestop employees did not have it hard enough with people constantly calling to ask if they have Battletoads, Microsoft and Rare have now come out to announce a brand new Battletoads game! The details are still few and far between, but what I can tell you is that Battletoads will be coming to PC and Xbox One in 2019.
In terms of gameplay features you can expect to see three-player couch co-op, 4K hand-drawn 2.5D visuals, as well as "body morphing genre mash-ups". In other words, the new Battletoads is indeed going to be a Battletoads game, and thankfully, one that does not take itself very seriously as you'll see in the brief teaser trailer below. Have a look, but don't expect to see much just yet:
Dying Light 2 has been revealed alongside two new gameplay trailers, one of which stars Chris Avellone

[Update #2]: After many delays, Dying Light 2 has now finally arrived onto PC and consoles!
[Update]: Dying Light 2 has been delayed from its spring 2020 release date in order to secure enough time for polishing.
While I ended up on the bandwagon quite a few years after everyone else, Dying Light has quickly become one of the my favorite co-op games in many, many years. With that in mind, I am very happy to say that Dying Light 2 has now not only been officially revealed at E3, but that it also looks like a greatly improved version of its predecessor!
Perhaps most importantly, at least for us that found the original Dying Light's story to be a bit of an unfocused mess, the legendary Chris Avellone (the man behind many of the best RPGs around) is working on both the story and the world itself! Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you two of the recently posted trailers. They should give you a pretty good idea of what Dying Light 2 is trying to accomplish and what Chris Avellone's role is in all of it. Have a gander:

Out of all the announcements that came out of this year's E3, Jump Force might just be the strangest and most intriguing one. I mean, it's not every day you get to see a fighting game that pits characters from Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball and even Death Note against each other in what appears to be a city-sized battlefield!
Since this is one of those things you're better of seeing than reading about, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. Have a look, as it's quite the sight to behold!
Devil May Cry 5 has been officially announced and pinned for a Spring 2019 release date

If you're a fan of ridiculously cheesy storylines, over-the-top action and characters that seem well aware they're part of a video game, you'll be glad to hear that Devil May Cry 5 has now been announced! Even though the main character will be the young demon hunter Nero, Devil May Cry 5 will feature three playable and highly unique characters, which should go a long way when it comes to replayability.
While the other two characters have not been detailed just yet, the latest E3 trailer does a pretty good job of showcasing what Nero brings to the table, as well as just how cheesy Devil May Cry 5 truly is. Have a look, the trailer's a real treat:
