I've never been much of a fan of soccer, or football as its known in Europe, but I am well aware I'm in a very small minority compared to the amount of people who simply adore it.
The reason I mentioned that is because I have managed to completely miss the Steam release of the much anticipated Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 myClub, a free to play spin-off of the popular PES series. Here's the official trailer though fair warning, the constantly cutting-off music might drive you insane:

With the second Pillars of Eternity "expansion" White March: Part 2 concluding this chapter of the story it only makes sense to bundle it all together in to one package.
What does surprise me however is that according to an Amazon.de product listing that Gamebanshee discovered the Pillars of Eternity: GOTY is set to arrive only a couple of days after White March: Part 2, on February 19th.

Firewatch is a visually gorgeous narrative-driven adventure game where you play the role of a park ranger who along with his chatty companion needs to ensure that the entire forest doesn't get consumed in a blazing inferno. A seemingly easy task and one that's perfect for a man who has a book to write but things don't always work out as planned.
To remind everyone of its upcoming February 9 release the developers, Campo Santo, have released not one, not even two but four fancy new trailers showcasing what exactly Firewatch is about. Here they are:

After the standalone Day Z release failed to engage me I looked forward to H1Z1 as the next big thing in the open world survival genre. Unfortunately the entire game fell in to the very same trap as Day Z, the zombies were not menacing enough so hunting other players was by far the more exciting option.
However, with the split announced today that will divide H1Z1 in to a competitive Battle Royale game and an open-world zombie survival game I once again have hope that the features I first saw advertised so long ago will actually come to fruition. Here's how exactly the split will go down:

When Harebrained Schemes announced that they will be adding 5 hours of extra content to Shadowrun: Hong Kong I was rather ecstatic but I have to admit I didn't expect they would be bringing it out this soon.
However, I doubt anyone will complain as the Extended Edition of Shadowrun: Hong Kong brings with it new visual effects, dialogue, a 6 hours long campaign and much more. All for the very affordable price of nothing if you already own Hong Kong. Here's a short overview of the contents:

After being reminded earlier today of how poor the PC port of Arkham Knight really is I'm very glad I can bring you some good news from the completely opposite spectrum.
Crystal Dynamics released today the first PC patch for Rise of the Tomb Raider that brought with it performance optimization, new graphical options and a bunch of bugfixes. The full patch notes are below:

I genuinely have no idea why WB has such a low opinion of the PC platform. The port of Arkham Knight was an absolute disaster on launch that only got fixed for some configurations. More recently they've announced that the updated version of Mortal Kombat X (which includes much better netcode) will not be coming to the PC.
And now they've also confirmed that the Mac and Linux ports of Arkham Knight, which were announced a long time ago, will not be coming. Thankfully, you can issue a refund if you were affected by this. Here's the short announcement message:

The core part of this transformation is Rapidiment's After Us: Rodeo mod which is rather stylish recreation of The Last of Us visuals in GTA V. It unfortunately doesn't affect the entirety of GTA V's map but where it does work it works extremely well as you'll see in the video below.
The video itself was made by a youtuber called taltigolt who cleverly combined GTAFREAk67S's Joel (The Last Of Us) mod with After Us: Rodeo to create something very similar to The Last of Us. Here's the video:

Despite the original Mirror's Edge being only a minor hit I'm very glad DICE and EA opted to greenlight a sequel to what might be one of the most unique AAA games done in a very long time.
And with Catalyst's May release date slowly approaching we are now finally getting some tidbits of information, this time around in the form of a story trailer. Take a look:
