Sega's Make War Not Love competition has now ended with Dawn of War 2 crowned as the supreme victor after a dominating show of fan support. In honor of such a victory Sega has given out a free piece of DLC for Dawn of War 2 which you can claim here though expect the keys to be delayed a week or so due to the amount of requests.
Besides that one piece of DLC Sega has also released the final trio of free games: Gunstar Heroes, Renegade Ops and Viking: Battle for Asgard. Here's a short description of each one and how exactly you can claim them:

Despite the latest two Dragon Age games veering heavily to the more action orientated side of the RPG spectrum I still have a soft spot for Origins and its more slow, methodical approach to combat.
And it seems I'm not the only one because in a recent twitter message executive Producer Mark Darrah asked if there was any interest in a tactical Dragon Age game. He even included a poll which is currently weighed heavily towards the "Yes" style of answers. Here's the message and the current poll counts:

The Heroes of Might and Magic series has not had a good past few years with each iteration bringing in new bugs, balance quibbles and plenty of other issues. Unfortunately HOMAM VII belongs in this category as well but at least the developers are committed and willing to improve upon its flaws and extend the story months after launch.
Update 1.7, which has gone live recently, brought with it plenty of bug fixes and new features as well as a 5 mission long campaign set 14 years in the past during the events of HOMAM IV. Here are the patch notes and a brief description of what to expect from this new campaign:

From Software has been streaming bits of Dark Souls 3 footage the past month or so but given the timezone and language differences many in the West simply don't even know of them happening.
Luckily a youtuber by the name of Rikudou has taken it upon himself to update the most interesting parts of the steam for our enjoyment. This time around its 12 minutes of footage showing off various weapon arts as well as the knight and cleric "classes":

Valve has been teasing us with brief snippets of information about Team Fortress 2's competitive update for a while now but never did it seem close to completion, until now anyway.
In a Steam forum post that went up today Jill from Valve has announced that the first phase of the TF2 competitive beta will begin next week with a small amount of participants. Here's the message and the requirements you'll need to meet in order to be selected:

The PC versions of the Need for Speed series have very rarely been anything beyond mediocre, if they even managed to reach that lofty position, hence why it is such a big deal that EA has opted to extend an olive branch with a potentially great PC version of the game.
The latest addition to the Need for Speed franchise will arrive on the PC with improved graphics, no frame cap, support for all sorts of wheels, gamepads and peripherals as well as the much requested manual transmission feature. Here's the trailer and the system requirements:

Cities: Skylines is one of the best examples of how dedicated post-launch support can elevate what was already a good game in to something truly special. Not only did the developers Collosal Order patch out many bugs and issues but they also released plenty of new features and content designed as DLC for absolutely no cost.
And the same applies to the latest (paid) expansion Snowfall which brings with it snowy winters, an expanded public transportation system and a bunch of other features related to dealing with bad weather. The free portion of this update will be arriving soon and bringing with it rain, fog and various other features the developers weren't ready to announce just yet.
Here's the trailer and a short list of cool new features you can expect:

Its been a very long time since the last CS:GO operation and competitive map shake-up so this update, as far as I'm concerned, couldn't have come any sooner.
Operation Wildfire brings with it two new campaigns, timed missions, a bunch of bug fixes, map changes and most importantly the triumphant return of Nuke which has gone through quite the rework. Here's a bit more info and the patch notes:
