Overwatch beta is now available for all platforms

If you number yourself among those that never got a chance to try Overwatch during the Closed Beta, now is your chance to finally give it a whirl as the Open Beta has begun.

You will first need to download the BattleNet client, and only then Overwatch itself. While you're waiting for all of that to complete, here's the most recent cinematic teaser featuring everybody's favorite scientist Winston:

Dragon's Teeth and Robbery DLC are completely free

In an effort to promote the upcoming Battlefield 5 EA has decided to give away all DLC for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline over the next few months.

The first batch of free DLC, available until May 10, consists of Battlefield 4: Dragon's Teeth and Battlfield Hardline: Robbery, two rather sizable expansions. Here's a brief overview of what each one consists of:

Steam Review Policy has been updated

As those of you that take the time and effort to write Steam reviews most likely realized, its incredibly hard for new reviews to push their way to the top, or even show up in the list of most helpful reviews, thus making the whole thing almost pointless for long-lasting games that have underwent numerous changes since the first reviews were posted.

Thankfully, with Valve's recent update the Steam review system is now in a much better shape as it displays both an overall rating, as well as a 30 day average, and newly posted reviews no longer get buried in the landslide of old ones.

Dishonored 2 is releasing on November 11th

In a rather odd marketing move Bethesda announced Dishonored 2 almost exactly a year ago, and then shared quite literally zero information about it ever since.

The silence has now thankfully been broken as the official release date has been set for November 11, a slight delay from the previously expected spring 2016 release. If you haven't seen it already, here's the announcement trailer from last year's E3:

Warcraft Movie will come with in-game cosmetics for World of Warcraft

Ever since Blizzard posted a tweet that contained four Warcraft Movie themed items the prevailing rumor was that they would be used as in-game incentives to get people out of the game and into the theaters.

As it turns out, the rumor was completely correct as those that purchased their tickets from the French website Kinepolis received a message that simply stated they would recieve 4 transmogrification (cosmetic) items inspired by the film, as well as a code that grants access to all World of Warcraft content up to Warlords of Draenor, all with a month of free subscription thrown in for good measure.

Here's the fully translated message, courtesy of kenanthepro:

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered edition will not be sold separately

Yesterday's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare announcement garnered a whole lot of excitement, partly because it represents an intriguing new take on a rather stale franchise, and partly because it officially confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the game that started it all, will be getting a remaster.

It was revealed that Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe versions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be arriving bundled together with COD 4 remaster, but many assumed it would also be available for purchase separately, a line of thinking that has now been unfortunately confirmed as incorrect.

Dawn of War 3 has been officially announced with a cinematic trailer

Relic released a small teaser yesterday that pointed towards something potentially amazing, the glorious return of the Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War franchise.

As you can probably guess from the title, the big reveal did not disappoint as not only did we learn that Dawn of War 3 is coming, but the announcement was handled in the best way possible, via a cinematic trailer featuring Wraithknights and Titans Imperial Knights duking it out! Have a look, its well worth the few minutes:

Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr is an upcoming Warhammer 40k themed ARPG

2016 seems to be well on its way to be the best year for Warhammer 40k fans. We've had Eternal Crusade appear in Early Access and cower all of our third person shooter needs, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada has the RTS sector on lockdown, Space Hulk Deathwing is looking to be an excellent first person shooter, Dawn of War 3 is likely to be announced tomorrow, and to top it all off, we also have Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor - Martyr to fill out that much needed action RPG slot.

The video/trailer on display today showcases all of the ways you can mess around with the environment, by which I naturally mean blast it away in to teeny-weeny bits and pieces, so that the enemy can finally stop cowering behind it and face you like... uhh... something resembling a man. Have a look:

Mighty No. 9 will be released on June 21

Despite gathering over 4,000,000 dollars in its Kickstarter campaign Mighty No. 9 has become the poster-child for troubled development. It underwent numerous delays, the playable demos showed very little improvement between iterations, and the company's community interaction was nonexistent at best.

However, after surviving through all of that Mighty No. 9 has finally gone gold, and the release date has been nailed, stapled, and seared on the calendar for June 21st for North America and Asia, with the rest of the world getting it on June 24th. Here's one of the recent trailers, just ignore the whole 'totally releasing in February 9' business:

Overwatch cinematic teaser "Are you with us?" has been released

If you're like me and somehow managed to avoid every single closed beta key for Overwatch, never fear as salvation will soon be here in the shape of an Open Beta that starts on May 5th.

In order to celebrate both the Open Beta, and the full release on May 24th, Blizzard has released a brand new cinematic teaser for Overwatch starring everyone's favorite simian scientist Winston. Check it out:
