Samorost 3 is the latest puzzle adventure from Amanita Designs, the folks behind Machinarium and Botanicula, and as you might expect given its pedigree its filled with gorgeous art and a wide assortment of 'music' that is just as alien, and enjoyable, as the game itself.
While it might seem on first glance that the creation process behind this sort of music is incredibly complex, what with there being scenes with space-lizards singing the opera in perfect pitch, the truth of the matter is that its just a bunch of people making silly noises, which was then transformed through what I assume is dark sorcery into something actually melodious.
Here's the video so you can have a look, or rather a listen for yourself:

Warlords of Draenor has been removed from the Battle.Net store, meaning that everyone who already owns World of Warcraft (or buys the base game in the future) will have access to all of the expansions and content up to Legion.
Naturally, this doesn't mean you can play World of Warcraft for free as the subscription is still required if you want to progress past level 20, or own more than a pittance in your virtual wallet.

It might seem insane to even consider playing a Souls game in first-person, but believe it or not, its where the series originated from. The King's Field games, developed by FromSoftware for the various PlayStation consoles, were a strange and intriguing bunch that combined a first-person perspective with slow and methodical combat, nasty enemies, and plenty of weapons with unique playstyles... sound familiar?
While the mod on display doesn't exactly copy the gameplay style of the King's Field series, it does give you an option to play Dark Souls 3 in first-person so you can experience all of those parries and backstabs in their full dizzying glory. Here's a video showcasing the mod in action:

[Update]: Salt and Sacrifice, Salt and Sanctuary's direct sequel, has been pinned for a May 10th, 2022 release date.
Salt and Sanctuary released on the PlayStation Store last month, but ever since then there was not even a single shred of information from the developers in regards to the long awaited PC version, only that it will be coming in the near future.
Since this article wouldn't exist otherwise it appears that the future is now as Salt and Sanctuary has just materialized on Steam with essentially no announcement message to follow it. Even the Steam Store page seems confused as the very first news post talks about the upcoming big release. Bizarre marketing choices aside, here's one of the more recent trailers so you can get an idea of what Salt and Sanctuary is really like:

As is tradition with the Dota 2 International Compendiums, the one for 2016 is filled to the brim with fancy cosmetic goodies, and naturally, plenty of ways to sink even more money to honor the almighty Lord of Hats himself.
The Battle Pass will set you back $10 for the level 1 version, or $27 if you feel like splurging a little bit extra in order to start from level 50. As an extra incentive to be as 'charitable' as possible Valve has announced an official challenge - if the community as a whole manages to get the prize pool up and over the last year's $18,429,613 goal everyone will get an even bigger pile of technically free cosmetics!

After the widespread eruption of cheating on the PC version of Dark Souls 3 From Software reacted by releasing Update 1.04.1 which managed to solve the majority of potential problems the cheaters could cause for unsuspecting players. Unfortunately, this update also brought with it numerous stuttering issues and sometimes even complete game-freezes, which as you might imagine is a tad more annoying than the occasional cheater transforming you into a dragon, and then chucking you off a cliff.
After realizing the severity of the issue From Software promptly took the patch down, so everything should be back to normal for the time being, though with the obvious negative effect of the cheaters being given another couple of days to cause mayhem. Here's the brief announcement message:

According to a Reddit post with some rather compelling evidence behind it, the Steam Summer Sale is set to begin on June 23, and run until July 4.
Naturally, all of this is officially unconfirmed as of right now, but the exact same leak took place last year and it ended up being completely true, so my hunch is that this one will be as well.

Continuing on with the Blizzard tradition of releasing amazing pieces of animation, the latest Overwatch short has finally arrived and it tells the story of two of my favorite characters, Genji and Hanzo.
The video, simply titled as Dragons, doesn't provide much in terms of new information, but what it does offer is plenty of extremely well choreographed action scenes, and even a shot of Genji reflecting Hanzo's PTSD-causing ultimate straight back at him. But enough of my blabber, here's the video:

[Update]: After nearly seven years in development, the System Shock Remake will finally be launching in March 2023!
Two decades have past since the original's release, and many months since the System Shock 1 Remaster has been announced, but now we finally have an official date that will mark the start of the Kickstarter campaign, June 31.
If you're worried this Kickstarter is going to be vaporware, or an opportunity for some unscrupulous individuals to cash on the public's nostalgia, worry no more as there was a pre-alpha gameplay video released in March, and it looked absolutely great! Its been known for a couple of years now that an Assassin's Creed movie is on the way, and we even had numerous pictures leaked from the set, but I do believe this is the first time we've ever gotten to see any actual footage.
If you were worried that this is going to follow the video game movie tradition and be absolute garbage I'm happy to say that from what little was shown in the trailer they've managed to nail both the atmosphere and the style of the series. Have a look for yourself:
