[Update]: Obsidian has now released a new E3 trailer for The Outer Worlds, and I'm glad to say it's looking quite similar to Fallout: New Vegas!
While both Fallout 3 and 4 are games I've had a genuinely good time with, it is Fallout: New Vegas that I consider the very best of the modern trilogy. It may have been slightly rushed and the Legion storyline never really got the attention it deserved, but its world-building and storytelling are so strong that I still feel the need to reinstall it every couple of years, just to experience it all over again.
With that in mind, I hope you can understand just how delighted I am to announce that Obsidian Entertainment is now working on a new open world, story-driven RPG called The Outer Worlds. As you might imagine given Obsidian's previous work, the focus in The Outer Worlds will be on exploring the wide-open world and seeing what sort of nonsense you can find, chatting up a variety of companions, and perhaps most importantly of all, making some tough decisions that will have an impact on the overall story.

Long before "walking simulators" were even thought of as a genre, Journey released as a thoroughly enjoyable exploration and adventure game. While the gameplay itself was relatively simplistic, none of that truly mattered as Journey was all about navigating the gorgeous world, taking in the sights, and slowly but surely piecing together the overall story. Or in other words, it was all about the journey!
However, despite receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews from across the globe, Journey did have one major flaw - it was a PlayStation exclusive. Thankfully, it would appear that this will soon stop being the case given that Journey now has a store page on Epic's newly revealed Epic Games Store.

While it originally launched as a bit of a mess, The Elder Scrolls Online has slowly but surely managed to carve itself a comfortable niche among the incredibly competitive MMORPG genre. So if you would like to see what exactly has improved over time, as well as what The Elder Scrolls Online has to offer as a whole, you might be interested to hear that the developers have now announced a free weekend.
More specifically, from now until December 12th you can experience everything the base game and its Morrowind expansion have to offer, which should be enough content to keep you busy for quite a while. And if you find yourself itching for more, the most recent Summerset expansion will also be on a 50% discount until December 20th.

Despite starting off fairly slowly, the PC version of Monster Hunter: World has now just about caught up with its console counterpart. Just this past month or so we've received the rather festive Winter Star event, Lunastra and Arch-tempered Kirin, as well as the gold-plated raid boss Kulve Taroth.
On December 21st the PC version of Monster Hunter: World will be taking another step forward as Final Fantasy's iconic monster Behemoth will finally be making an appearance. Besides the cuddly monster himself, the update will also add a new Insect Glaive weapon, a new armor set, a new Moogle inspired Palico set, Cactuars as brand new critters that roam the land and cause trouble, as well as various other cosmetic effects.

[Update]: Back to Ubersreik has now arrived alongside a secret new game mode!
It would appear that Fatshark has now finally hit their stride with Vermintide 2. Just recently they have released an update that has rebalanced or reworked just about every single weapon, career and enemy in the game, while this December 10th they'll be adding remastered versions of three classic maps as a part of the Back to Ubersreik DLC.
Out of the three maps only one has been announced so far, and as you might imagine it's one of the most popular maps from the original game - Horn of Magnus. As for the other two, my guess would be the Wizard's Tower and the Gardens of Moor. Both are fairly lengthy maps with some truly memorable locations, so they would definitely be a perfect fit for Vermintide 2.

If you prefer Call of Duty's standard multiplayer over the shenanigans that happen in the co-op focused zombies mode, you might be interested to hear that Activision has now separated it from the rest. So from now until January 6th, you can buy Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's multiplayer and Blackout Battle Royale game modes for $30 combined, while the full version will set you back $47.

If you ever wanted to get into MTG Arena, now would be the perfect time to do so. Not only has Wizards of the Coast just announced a massive $10,000,000 pro league, but they are also currently giving away a variety of extremely good cards, and I say that without even a single hint of sarcasm.

The Resident Evil 2 remake will be arriving to PC and consoles this January 25th, and much like its predecessor, it'll be doing so alongside a whole host of improvements. You can expect to see greatly enhanced visuals, better voice acting, support for widescreen resolutions and stable 60 FPS, as well as some potentially controversial changes like modernized movement and combat controls.

Despite receiving a couple of rather nifty updates here and there, the development of the new Unreal Tournament has never exactly been active. So given Fortnite's increasingly massive success and the relatively recent shutdown of Epic's MOBA Paragon, many were left wondering what exactly this means for the future of Unreal Tournament. Things certainly weren't looking good as Unreal Tournament hasn't been updated in about a year, but no official answer ever arrived.
Well, that last part has now finally changed, though I'm afraid the answer is not a good one. According to a brief comment Epic Games' CEO and founder Tim Sweeney gave to Variety, Epic is no longer actively working on Unreal Tournament. The reason, as you might imagine, is the increasingly large demand for additional content in Fortnite.

After quite a few previews littered with explosions and over-the-top violence, Just Cause 4 has now landed onto both PC and consoles. As you might expect given the series so far, it brings with it a new and improved arsenal of weaponry, extreme weather effects such as sandstorms and tornadoes, and naturally, a couple of barely justified reasons to go out into the world and see what exactly can and can't be blown up.
While the recently posted cinematic trailer doesn't offer much in terms of gameplay details, it should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from Just Cause 4. Have a gander:
