Resident Evil 2 remake close up screenshot of the Tyrant

The Resident Evil 2 remake will be arriving to PC and consoles this January 25th, and much like its predecessor, it'll be doing so alongside a whole host of improvements. You can expect to see greatly enhanced visuals, better voice acting, support for widescreen resolutions and stable 60 FPS, as well as some potentially controversial changes like modernized movement and combat controls.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in action, as well as what the new and improved Tyrant is all about, allow me to share with you the recently posted gameplay preview. Have a gander, it's quite an interesting video:

It's a bit of a departure from the original, there's no denying that, but I still have to admit I'm genuinely excited to get my hands on the Resident Evil 2 remake. If even simple things like the Tyrant walking around have been done with this much care, then I think its safe to say that the team behind the remake has a great deal of passion for the project, and that is always a good thing in my book. So while all of the details might not be exactly the same, the Resident Evil 2 remake is one you should definitely keep your eyes on as it moves closer towards its January 25th release date.
