[Update]: After a small delay, Diablo 2: Resurrected's Patch 2.4 has now been unleashed.
Unlike Warcraft 3: Reforged which still hasn't managed to reach parity with the original, Diablo 2 Resurrected has thankfully ended up being a faithful remake of the ARPG classic. Best of all, things are only going to get better in the near future as Blizzard is currently experimenting with a variety of nifty changes with Patch 2.4.
First and foremost, the biggest addition in Patch 2.4 will be the introduction of the competitive Ladder. It'll be an optional, ranked system where you'll get to start as a fresh character in a bunch of different modes. Much like Path of Exile's variants, each Ladder will have its own specific content to spice things up and will task you with reaching as high of a level as possible. Once the Ladder season ends the rankings will reset, your characters will be transferred to the non-Ladder mode, while a brand new season will spring up in order to give you a new batch of challenges to overcome.

[Update]: Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has now been unleashed, and so far it's looking quite solid.
Inspired by Borderlands 2's highly popular DLC Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, the upcoming Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a colorful and wacky homage to the RPG genre. What this means in gameplay terms is that you'll be able to build your character by mixing and matching talents from six different classes, scour the world in search of treasure to hoard and quests to complete, slice and dice your way through all sorts of baddies, and naturally, play around with an absurd amount of procedurally generated weapons.
What all of this madness looks like in action, however, that you can find out through the recently posted and rather lengthy developer preview. Have a gander, it's about as explosive as you might expect from a Borderlands spin-off:

According to the freshly released roadmap, the first of the big updates will arrive in Spring alongside alien invaders, new public events, and new random encounters. Spring will also bring with it a Fallout Worlds update which will add the ability to earn SCORE, as well as the release of Season 8: A Better Life Undreground.

[Update]: Shadow Warrior 3 has now arrived for PC and consoles with a short but explosive campaign.
After going through a bit of a delay, Shadow Warrior 3 will be launching onto PC, PlayStation and Xbox this March 1, 2022. What all of this looks like in actual gameplay, however, that you can find out through the recently posted and rather lengthy gameplay preview. Have a gander, it even has a little surprise for Shadow Warrior 1 fans:

Despite having a loyal cult following, both the Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic series have sadly faded away over the years. Thankfully, there is some light on the horizon as it looks like Ubisoft is interested in bringing the Might and Magic world back through a new AAA game!
Don't get too excited, however, as there is currently no information available about the game in question since it hasn't even been properly announced yet. That said, a listing on the Ubisoft website reveals that they are looking for people to join their Might & Magic AAA project, so a new game is clearly in development.

If you're just looking for an excuse to dive back into Destiny 2, the freshly released The Witch Queen expansion should be a pretty good one. As the name might suggest, The Witch Queen brings with it a new story campaign that will have you face off against Savathun and her vast Hive army, while simultaneously trying to figure out just how she has managed to steal the Light.
On the gameplay side of things you can expect to see the ability to create custom weaponry with unique stat combinations and mods, along with a brand new Glaive weapon type for those of you that like to get up close and personal. There's also a chunky new location to explore, a variety of changes and tweaks including the complete redesign of the Void subclass, and naturally, a whole host of new loot to acquire.

[Update #2]: World of Warcraft devs are now looking towards reusing old dungeons and raids for endgame content!
[Update]: World of Warcraft's next big expansion will be unveiled on April 19, 2022.
If you were itching to see the end of the story, or simply eager to dive into some fresh new content, you'll be interested to hear that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' final Update 9.2 - Eternity's End has now arrived. While more updates will be coming in the future, including Update 9.2.5 that will bring with it cross-realm dungeons, raids and rated PvP, Eternity's End will sadly be the last influx of actual new content before the next big expansion.
Thankfully, Shadowlands is going out on a positive note as Eternity's End is looking quite solid so far. It brings with it a chunky new raid with 11 bosses to pillage for loot, the beautiful Zareth Mortis zone to explore, the return of tier sets, a new progression system that lets you slowly decipher the language of the First Ones, as well as a whole bunch of new cosmetic items and mounts to collect!

After being exclusively available on Japanese consoles for a couple of months, the turn-based JRPG Monark has now arrived to the West for both PC and consoles. In terms of story, Monark brings with it a world trapped under a veil of madness, in which you and an assortment of characters teetering on the brink of insanity will need to face off against untold demons in order to hopefully break free before you inevitably slip away.
On the gameplay side of things, Monark is far more conventional. As such, expect to spend most of your time interacting with the various characters in the relatively safe real world, and going on expeditions into the mist beyond in order to figure out just what in the world is even happening. What this looks like in action, however, that you can find out through the recently posted launch trailer:
