World of Warcraft artwork of the Jailer from Patch 9.2

[Update #2]: World of Warcraft's Dragonflight expansion has been announced alongside a draconic class/race combo - the Dracthyr Evoker.

[Update]: Hearthstone's Voyage to the Sunken City expansion is bringing in some truly gigantic creatures.

The Jailer hasn't even fallen yet, and already Blizzard has begun teasing the next big expansion. So if you're curious in which direction World of Warcraft will be going in, especially in terms of the story and the overall theme, mark April 19, 2022 on your calendar as that's when the big reveal will be going live.

While no details have been given just yet, it's highly likely this new expansion will have something to do with the Dragon Isles. The reason I say this is because there were quite a few datamined strings referring to dragons over the past year, some of the recent store mounts and bundles were also themed around dragons, and most importantly of all, because it would be cool to have an entire expansion focus on the Dragon Aspects with Galakrond as the main baddie!

Oh, and I do hope you have phones because Blizzard has also announced a new Warcraft mobile game. Once again there are no details, but you can expect to see the full reveal at some point in May. Personally, I can only hope this will be a new and improved version of the pet-battling system from World of Warcraft because I've always felt like that had a ton of potential that was just never truly realized.

The final and somewhat unrelated thing to mention is that the next three Hearthstone expansions will be announced on March 15th. And if that just isn't enough Hearthstone content for you, worry not as a follow-up article will arrive shortly afterwards to detail the upcoming core set changes.

Once each of these reveals go live I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can read a tiny bit more about this whole announcement over at the World of Warcraft website.
