Subnautica concept artwork for the Below Zero expansion

[Update]: The freshly announced Moonbreaker is Subnautica studio's upcoming miniature-based tactics game.

Instead of going with the safe option and starting development on a third Subnautica game, it seems that Unknown Worlds are currently trying their hand at something completely different. According to the recent press release from their publisher Krafton, the Unknown Worlds team is working on a "wholly unique turn-based strategy game set in a sci-fi world".

I'd love to give you some actual details, but I'm afraid that the full announcement has not been made just yet. As such, the only thing I can really tell you is that Unknown Worlds' still unnamed "Project M" will be launching into Early Access at some point in 2022.

[Update]: World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' final major Update 9.2 - Eternity's End has now been unleashed!

In sharp contrast to Patch 9.1 that took seemingly forever to arrive, World of Warcraft's Patch 9.2 - Eternity's End will be launching the very next week, on February 22nd or 23rd depending on your region. It'll bring with it Zareth Mortis as a brand new map to explore, a lengthy new raid with 11 bosses to endlessly die against, the return of tier sets, as well as a new progression system that will let you slowly decipher the language of the First Ones.

The update will also bring with it a new Torghast wing to explore, a wide array of new pets, mounts and cosmetic items to collect, along with the ability to finally equip two legendary items at once! And for the first time in Shadowlands, there will also be a brand new Maldraxxus arena accompanying the third PvP season.

Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden official artwork and logo

Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden, just like its predecessor Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, is a traditional swords & sorcery RPG where literally everything is done through the use of cards. You'll explore the world by shuffling cards around, fight enemies by flinging cards at them, and unsurprisingly, even make dialogue choices through the use of cards.

Since the concept is a little bit 'out there', allow me to share with you the recent announcement trailer. It should give you a fairly good idea of just what The Forsaken Maiden actually plays like. Have a look:

[Update #2]: Elden Ring has now finally arrived, though sadly not without some technical problems on PC.

[Update]: FromSoftware has now shared a detailed preview showing off the combat, story and environments.

In an announcement that comes surprisingly close to its February 25th launch, the Elden Ring team has now finally revealed the minimum and recommended PC systems specs. They are a fair bit spicier than the usual FromSoftware fare, however, so I really do hope your rig is prepared for the first truly open-world Souls game!

But enough babbling from me, here's the brief rundown of what you'll need for both the minimum and recommended configuration:

[Update #2]: Cyberpunk 2077's Edgerunners Patch 1.6 has added cross-platform progression, outfit customization and more.

[Update]: Cyberpunk 2077's very first expansion Phantom Liberty will be heading to PC and consoles in 2023.

It took quite a while for Patch 1.5 to get here, but I'm happy to say that Cyberpunk 2077's biggest bug-fixing update has now finally arrived. Patch 1.5 brings with it a variety of visual improvements, better combat animations and AI behavior, along with new weapons and attachments to toy around with, as well as sweeping changes to many perks and items.

On the slightly less violent side of things, Patch 1.5 has also overhauled driving in order to make it less cumbersome, as well as improved AI reactions and pathfinding while driving. The same goes for the random NPCs you encounter on the street as they should now behave more realistically when threatened, get stuck or despawn less often, and hopefully act more like actual people rather than soulless automatons.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous screenshot for the Inevitable Excess DLC

[Update]: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous' Inevitable Excess expansion has now arrived, though sadly alongside some harsh criticism.

If you were hoping to get your hands on Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous' Inevitable Excess expansion this week, I'm afraid I bring some bittersweet news. In order to give the team enough to time to balance and polish the high-powered DLC, Owlcat Games have now pushed back Inevitable Excess to March 3, 2022.

"After we ran a number of internal tests, we realized that the experience you would get from this new adventure was not as mythic as we wanted it to be," reads the brief announcement. "We wanted you to feel great and powerful, but also face the foes that would be tricky and challenging enough. But some of the new battle encounters we designed didn’t convey our intentions properly, and we felt like the new enemies and their mechanical features needed more balancing"

Total War: Warhammer 3 official screenshot showing the daemon prince

[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 3 devs have detailed their plans for the upcoming improvements and bug fixes.

After a ridiculous amount of teasers and previews, Total War: Warhammer 3 has now finally arrived! It brings with it a bunch of interesting new factions to mess around with, including fan-favorites like Kislev and Grand Cathay, as well as a sizable new chunk of the world to explore, a large array of improvements and quality-of-life changes, and even the ability to build your very own daemon prince!

You can get a pretty good idea of what to expect in terms of actual gameplay through one of the recent previews. Have a gander, it's quite an informative one:

Lost Ark concept art without logo

If you think that combining fast-paced ARPG gameplay with the usual MMO features sounds like a jolly ol' time, then you'll be happy to hear that the highly popular Lost Ark has now made its way over to Steam. As you might expect given its genre, Lost Ark's gameplay is all about carving your way through hundreds upon hundreds of monsters with ridiculously over-the-top abilities, all the while solving menial quests and talking about nonsense with your fellow players.

What this looks like in action, that you can get a pretty good impression of through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a peek, it's not a very long one:

Capcom teaser for a mysterious new game

[Update #2]: Barely a month has gone by, and Capcom has already revealed another game! This time around it's not a fighting game, however, but rather Exoprimal - a team-based action game about mechs fighting dinosaurs!

[Update]: It turns out the announcement was even more exciting than I expected! As such, you can now not only look forward to Street Fighter 6, but also the greatly enhanced Capcom Fighting Collection!

In an announcement that came pretty much out of nowhere, Capcom has now unveiled a very simple countdown website. As of time of writing the countdown still has 5 days and 4 hours to go, which places the endpoint on February 21st.

As for what exactly this big announcement is going to be, nobody outside of Capcom currently knows. However, if you're willing to indulge a bit of speculation, then I do believe it's likely to be the Resident Evil 4 Remake.

[Update #2]: World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' final major Update 9.2 - Eternity's End has now been unleashed!

[Update]: Blizzard has now detailed all of the changes and additions coming in with Patch 9.2!

Given how long we had to wait for Patch 9.1 - Chains of Domination, I fully expected the seemingly final content Patch 9.2 - Eternity's End to arrive with a massive delay as well. However, in a surprising announcement Blizzard has just revealed that Eternity's End will be launching with next week's server reset, on February 22nd or 23rd depending on your region.

Once it arrives, Eternity's End will bring with it Zareth Mortis as a brand new zone to explore, a chunky new raid with 11 bosses to tackle, as well as a brand new Torghast wing to toy around with. You can also expect to see a new progression system that lets you slowly unravel the language of the First Ones, the ability to equip two legendary items at once, the return of the much-beloved tier sets, and naturally, a whole host of new pets, mounts and other cosmetic items to collect.
