A PC version of the wacky Disgaea RPG series has been requested for years now but much to everyone's disappointment, when it finally arrived it did so alongside numerous performance problems and terrible framerate drops.
Thankfully, the developers have now come out with an update that should solve the majority of the problems. Here's what exactly got fixed and what NIS America is still working on:

The Windows 10 Store currently houses mostly mobile apps, a couple of AAA games and a whole lot of garbage but if a recent leak is to be believed that might be changing in the near future.
According to a list found in the Package.StoreAssociation.xml file in Gears of War: Ultimate Edition there are a whole bunch of games, apps and "things" coming to the Windows 10 Store, including the much anticipated Scalebound whose PC version still hasn't been confirmed. Here's the whole list, courtesy of Reddit user no1dead:

After releasing an uninspired piece of DLC for the otherwise excellent Chivalry: Medieval Warfare the developers Torn Banner Studios slowly went silent.
The reason for their withdrawal, as we've found out today, is that they are working on a brand new game titled Mirage: Arcane Warfare which takes takes the medieval fighting style from Chivalry and spices it up with some fireballs. Here's the short teaser trailer:

Despite not having enough time to go through the 7 week orientation course to get good at Europa Universalis IV it still remains one of my favorite strategy games out there, for the simple reason that it doesn't compromise in order to appeal to everyone and instead just focuses on being the best game it can be.
It also helps that Europa Universalis IV receives frequent high quality DLCs (and some complete fluff) that have improved upon almost every aspect of gameplay, from warfare to colonization and now even maritime activities with the the upcoming Mare Nostrum (Our Sea in Latin) expansion. Here's the trailer and a bit more information:

The Division is Ubisoft's latest foray in to the open world genre and from everything I've seen in the open beta it has managed to avoid many of the pitfalls that befell the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry series.
With the launch a mere 7 days away Ubisoft has decided to release the official gameplay trailer (spoiler: contains very little actual gameplay) that comes with some pretty visuals and nice voice acting. Have a look:

After the massive success of Life is Strange the Paris based developer Dontnod announced that they would be transitioning from a coming-of-age adventure to a more serious action/RPG where you play as a doctor who has been inflicted with the Vampire plague.
While there is very little information about Vampyr right now the developers did release a couple of intriguing, but incredibly dark screenshots. I've taken the liberty of increasing the gamma slightly so you can actually see some of the details but if you're interested in the original screenshots in all of their dark glory head over to the Vampyr website. Here are the actually visible ones:

After the system requirements were leaked a couple of days ago it was obvious that Microsoft was planning to do something with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition in the near future.
What no one could've expected is for Microsoft to not just release Gears of War: UE a few days later but to release it with no announcement or fanfare involved. Here's the trailer and a few words of warning:
