For Honor's recent update has added the much-requested and highly comprehensive training mode. It features a variety of challenges and tutorials designed to help beginners ease themselves into the combat system, as well as plethora of advanced guides that will teach players how to perform and counter every single move For Honor has in its arsenal. A small feature in the grand scheme of things, but a pretty darn good one regardless.
So if you ever found yourself intimidated by For Honor's learning curve, of if you're not even sure whether it's the type of game you'd even enjoy, you might be interested to hear that For Honor will be having a free weekend this... well, weekend! To be more specific, For Honor will be completely free to play from May 3rd to May 6th on both PC and consoles.

While it has been possible to play Fallout 4 VR on the Oculus Rift and various Windows MR headsets for quite a while now, the experience has been far from ideal due to missing features. With that in mind, I am very glad to say that Fallout 4 VR's latest beta update has now finally added official support!
If you would like to give it a try, as well as offer Bethesda some much needed feedback, you should head on over to Fallout 4 VR in your Steam Library. From there you need to right click and go into Properties, navigate to the Betas tab, and then select Fallout 4 VR Update 1.2.66.0 from the dropdown menu. Once you've done that "Fallout 4 VR Update 1.2.66.0" will appear in your Library and you'll be good to go.

While its release date has not yet been announced, Stellaris will soon be getting another Story Pack - Distant Stars. As you might imagine from the name alone, Distant Stars will be a discovery-themed DLC that will have players venture into the deepest recesses of space in order to search for anomalies, explore the ruins of long-forgotten civilizations, and even befriend absolutely gigantic space-faring creatures! Just make sure not to get too friendly with them as creatures the size of small moons might not be the most safe and reliable of traveling companions.
As is tradition with Paradox expansions, there are currently very few written details available about the DLC itself, so allow me to share with you the brief list of features that came with the announcement. It's unfortunately nothing too informative, but it should at least give you a bit of an idea of what to expect from Distant Stars. Have a look:

After a rather lengthy Early Access stay, Conan Exiles is going to be released in full on both PC and consoles this May 8th. You can expect to see a new action-orientated combat system, two massive new zones to explore, monster invasions to fend off, new gods to unleash upon your enemies, new dungeons to rummage through, and the list goes on.
If you're curious about what all of this might look like in-game, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. The video doesn't really go in-depth on any one feature, but it should still give you a pretty darn good idea of what the release version of Conan Exiles is going to be all about. Have a gander:

After being slightly delayed, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire will be coming this May 8th for PC, Mac and Linux. Besides continuing on with the original's storyline, Pillars of Eternity 2 will also feature player-controlled ships, the ability to wonder across uncharted islands in search of treasure and ancient relics, an assortment of new and deadly enemies, and naturally, a variety of new and interesting abilities to toy around with.
If you would like to get your hands on even more content, however, you might be interested to hear that Obsidian has now announced three pieces of post-launch DLC. They'll be coming in two-month intervals, with the first "Beast of Winter" DLC arriving in July of 2018, the second "Seeker, Slayer, Survivor" in September of 2018, and the third "The Forgotten Sanctum" in November of 2018. Since the names alone aren't exactly descriptive, allow me to share with you the brief snippet of info that came with the announcement:

Hearthstone's The Witchwood expansion arrived earlier this month, bringing with it 135 new cards and a couple of new mechanics to toy around with. If you don't have enough gold to actually try out all of the new cards, or if you're just not a fan of the competitive multiplayer, you might be interested to hear that the completely free Monster Hunt PvE mode has now arrived as well.
In the most basic terms, the Monster Hunt is an improved version of the Kobolds & Catacombs Dungeon Run. What this means in gameplay terms is that you'll have to choose from four unique heroes, fight against eight randomized and increasingly more challenging bosses, and perhaps most interestingly of all, construct a deck from cards you can pick after each battle. It is a fairly simple system, and much like the Dungeon Run it is a pretty darn enjoyable one!

About a week ago Blizzard revealed that they are looking to transform Symmetra from a Support hero into a Defense one. While they didn't reveal much in terms of details back then, they did announce that the goal behind the whole rework is to make Symmetra a bit more flexible and interesting to play. Well, if the newly unveiled changes go through, that is definitely going to be the case!
"We are playing with a new way her turrets deploy. Instead of having to stick them directly onto a wall herself, she can now fire an un-deployed version like a projectile, which sticks to walls/ceilings/etc. Once it sticks, it will unfold like it does on the wall currently when she builds them", Overwatch's Geoff Goodman shared on the official forums. This helps for a bunch of reasons but one of the big ones is that it makes it a lot easier to play her on offense or just be able to preposition her turrets much more easily/quickly."

During the initial announcement Square Enix said that we'll be getting a full Shadow of the Tomb Raider reveal on April 27th. I expected this to be a brief gameplay trailer, just a little teaser ahead of the big E3 2018 presentation, but as it turns out the full reveal is actually a cinematic trailer.
So if you're up for seeing a much more badass version of Lara Croft, as well as some rather interesting Mayan architecture, you'll find the newly posted trailer right below. Have a gander, it's well worth the few minutes:

[Update #2] The patch is now live. You can find the full patch notes, as well as more about the accompanying "The Queen and the Crone" DLC over here.
[Update]: Creative Assembly have also announced four new Monster Hunts for Norsca. Next week we're most likely going to getting another Dwarf-related announcement.
In Warhammer lore the Skaven are present in just about every part of the world, their numbers completely beyond any measure. In Total War: Warhammer 2, however, the Skaven are one of the races that have the most issues expanding their influence across the campaign map due to how crippling the whole food system is. Up until recently you could remedy this by raiding your own lands, but ever since that got nerfed the Skaven have felt significantly less fun to play.
With that in mind, I am very glad to say that Skaven will be getting a major buff to their food sources with the massive May update. All of the details have not been revealed just yet, but you can expect to see new sources of food in technologies, rites and buildings. It might not sound like much, but it should go a long way towards promoting an aggressive playstyle for the Skaven, something the race has been designed around from the very beginning.

If you're looking for some new team-orientated shooters to sink your teeth into, you might be glad to hear that Arma 3 and Day of Infamy are currently free to try out on Steam. The promotion will only last until Monday, however, so if you're interested you should go and start the download immediately in order to have enough time to actually play them.
As for whether they're any good not, I'm afraid I have no personal experience with them since these types of shooters aren't my cup of tea. That said, I have heard a great deal of praise about both games, and they are currently at 89% and 85% approval rating on Steam respectively, so if you're even remotely curious about tactical shooters it might be a good idea to give them a chance. After all, they're completely free for the time being!
