[Update]: Gloomhaven has now been officially released into Steam Early Access! There's still a lot of work that needs to be done, but I'm glad to say that the initial version shows quite a lot of potential.
If you're even remotely interested in board games, chances are you've at least heard of the immensely popular Gloomhaven... as well as how long it can sometimes take to set it all up! So if you would like to avoid all of that hassle, or if you just don't have enough interested friends to give it a proper try, you might be happy to hear that Gloomhaven will be getting a video game adaptation on Steam this July 17th!
That said, it is worth mentioning that while the Gloomhaven game will have many of the same themes and mechanics as the original board game, it will be a bit of a different experience. Most notably, the focus in the video game adaptation will be on the highly replayable singleplayer content, with the multiplayer campaign only set to arrive at some point in the future.

[Update]: Battle Pass progression has now been improved, and there's a whole bunch of new balance changes to toy around with!
If you've played Dota 2 for even a single second, chances are you're well aware that Valve is working on adding a whole bunch of cosmetics to Dota Underlords. After all, most of the heroes already have a myriad of fancy Dota 2 armor sets, so why not utilize those in Dota Underlords as well?
So in order to test things out, as well as to thank the beta players for their continued feedback, Valve has now released the first Dota Underlords Battle Pass for free. It unfortunately doesn't contain any hero cosmetics, but by progressing through the Battle Pass you can acquire a new board style, a variety of cosmetic decorations for your profile, fireworks to celebrate your victories, and most importantly, different styles of "Yo!" to annoy your enemies with!

[Update]: Respawn has now released an official Trello Tracker detailing what bugs they're currently working on fixing.
Apex Legends' recent Season 2 update has added a whole bunch of new content, including the very first iteration of the ranked mode. However, while all of these are positive changes, they have unfortunately brought with them some rather serious problems as well.
As you might imagine, where there is a ranked mode, there are hordes of cheaters just looking to dive in and ruin everyone's fun. Apex Legends is no different in this regard, and seeing people with aim or wall hacks in the higher ranks is sadly a very common occurrence. It's gotten to the point where you can sometimes even see multiple cheaters duel each other from across the map with perfect accuracy!

[Update #2]: Overwatch's newest main tank Sigma has now arrived alongside the long-awaited Role Queue!
[Update]: Overwatch's next hero has been revealed to be Sigma - a shield based main tank with quite an interesting set of abilities!
If you've been paying attention to Overwatch updates over the past few years, then chances are you've noticed that Blizzard tends to follow the exact same pattern each year. They might be off by a day or two, but new maps and heroes always come at certain dates. So if we go by that formula, we should already have a brand new teaser or two for the next hero.
However, Blizzard has not released any teasers so far, and according to the newly posted developer update, they will not be releasing any hero teasers for a little while longer. In other words, the new hero (now confirmed as a male character) has been delayed in order to give Blizzard enough time to get everything polished up and ready to go.

When it comes to oldschool shooters, 2019 has been an absolutely amazing year! Not only have the recently released Dusk and Amid Evil ended up being downright excellent, but 3D Realms' Build Engine throwback Ion Fury is set to leave Early Access this August 15th!
If the name doesn't ring any bells, that would be because Ion Fury was known as Ion Maiden a little while ago. However, due to a rather expensive lawsuit looming over it because of the name and logo having similarities with Iron Maiden, 3D Realms have wisely chosen to sidestep the whole mess and just rename the game to Ion Fury.

[Update #2]: Monster Hunter World: Iceborne's latest preview shows of the vast majority of monsters we'll get to fight against, and unsurprisingly, they're all pretty cool!
[Update]: The PC version of Monster Hunter World - Iceborne will be coming in January 2020!
Monster Hunter: World is set to arrive this September 6th on consoles, bringing with it a whole bunch of new content. There will be a brand new storyline to experience, new regions to explore, piles upon piles of gear to craft, and naturally, a whole bunch of new monsters to slay.
While the recently posted trailer doesn't exactly go into detail about any of those things, it does still showcase some rather interesting locations, as well as significantly more dangerous variants of monsters we're already familiar with. Most importantly, Iceborne will give us the ability to mount giant badgers! Here's what it all looks like in action:

In a bit of an interesting move, Assassin's Creed Odyssey's "The Fate of Atlantis" DLC was split into three distinct and massive episodes. Two of these episodes have already arrived, and thankfully they have ended up being significantly better than the very first piece of DLC. However, despite the DLC being called "The Fate of Atlantis", neither of the two episodes so far allowed us to actually explore the fabled city!
As such, you might be glad to hear that Assassin's Creed Odyssey will soon be correcting that mistake. In other words, the third and final DLC episode "Judgement of Atlantis" will be coming this July 16th for both PC and consoles, bringing with it a whole host of new content centered around the lost city of Atlantis.

If you're looking for some deep and lengthy games to really sink your teeth into, you might be interested to hear that Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Surviving Mars are currently $12 as a part of July's Humble Monthly bundle. There will also be a couple of bonus games released early next month to help spice the deal up, though the above-mentioned games are definitely the highlight of this bundle.
As for whether the games are worth your time and money, I'd say the answer is yes if you're even remotely interested in either one. Kingdom Come: Deliverance may have some flaws due to its mid-budget origins, but it's still a phenomenal RPG and a breath of fresh air in the usually fantasy dominated genre. Surviving Mars on the other hand is a bit more niche as it's a fairly easy city-builder, though it does feature a whole bunch of elements to micromanage and mess around with, so if you don't mind making your own fun, it's well worth checking out.

After well over a year of work, CarBot Animations have now partnered with Blizzard to release a complete visual overhaul of Starcraft: Remastered. And when I say complete, I really do mean complete as everything from the units, buildings, effects, mission intros, maps, terrains and even environmental objects have received an adorable cartoony look!
Since words alone won't suffice here, allow me to share with you one of the recent previews showcasing just what the Cartooned pack looks like in action. Have a gander, it's certainly an interesting one:
