Age of Wonders: Planetfall is just around the corner, bringing with it a massive new world to conquer, as well as a variety of highly customizable factions. So in order to get everyone excited, the developers are now offering the original Age of Wonders 3 for free!

All you need to do is head on over to Steam, go through the 'purchasing' process, and you'll be ready to rule the world in no time. You don't even need to install Age of Wonders 3 right now, just make sure to add a copy to your Steam account and you'll be good to go.

For those of you wondering whether Age of Wonders 3 is worth the trouble, I'd say the answer is yes if you're a fan of grand-scale strategy games. There are some notable flaws you'll encounter once you become really experienced with it, but even so Age of Wonders 3 is still a pretty fun game to mess around with. Definitely not for everyone, but given that it's entirely free, I'd say it's well worth at least giving it a try.
