Unlike the incredibly slow development speed on Artifact, work on Dota Underlords has been proceeding at a genuinely impressive pace so far. Every few weeks Valve has come out with a major feature, some sort of rework, massive balance changes, and naturally, a wide variety of quality of life improvements to top it all off.

This week is no different as Valve has once again brought in a whole bunch of new and exciting changes. The ranked mode has been reworked and somewhat simplified, numerous three-star heroes have received visual enhancements, while the balance changes themselves have affected everything from the core gameplay to the items and heroes.

August is nearly upon us, and as you might be well aware give the roadmap Blizzard released a while back, this means that Hearhstone will soon be getting a brand new expansion - Saviors of Uldum! Expect to see 135 new cards, the reintroduction of the quest mechanic, plenty of plagues and mummies to toy around with, as well as a brand new Reborn key that causes a minion to be brought back to life with one health when killed.

It also shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Blizzard has released a charming and rather catchy musical trailer to celebrate Saviors of Uldum's imminent launch. Have a gander, it really is a fun one:

[Update]: Overwatch's newest main tank Sigma has now arrived alongside the long-awaited Role Queue!

These are certainly exciting times for Overwatch. Not only has Blizzard recently added replaysworkshop modding tools and a whole bunch of balance changes, but they are getting ready to also introduce 2/2/2 locked Role Queue and even a brand new hero!

The hero in question is Sigma, a highly skill-based tank with a quickly deployable shield and an ultimate that lifts enemies into the air for a few seconds, only to then slam them into the floor for 50% of their max health. A devastating move, though thankfully Sigma doesn't seem to charge it all that frequently.

[Update]: Gloomhaven will be launching from Early Access on October 20, 2021!

After being briefly teased a few weeks ago, the video game adaptation of the popular board game Gloomhaven has now finally made its way to Steam Early Access. That said, while the Gloomhaven game features many of the same themes and mechanics as the board game, it is a bit of a different beast entirely.

Most notably, despite the Gloomhaven board game being heavily co-op focused, the newly released Gloomhaven game is currently singleplayer only. There will be co-op added at some point later on, but so far the experience is wholly focused on highly replayable singleplayer content.

[Update #2]: Overwatch's newest main tank Sigma has now arrived alongside the long-awaited Role Queue!

[Update]: Overwatch's next hero has been revealed to be Sigma - a shield based main tank with quite an interesting set of abilities!

If you were hoping that Blizzard would end the recent streak of disappointing seasonal events, I'm afraid you're out of luck as this year's Summer Games is probably the least interesting event released so far. It contains a smaller than average number of Legendary skins, there are no new game modes, and even Lucioball itself didn't receive any sort of major gameplay improvements.

The one thing that does make this event a bit more enticing, however, is the new challenge system. By winning nine games during each of the three weeks you'll be able to unlock a bunch of new sprays, as well as Epic skins for Reaper, Mei and Reinhardt. A fairly small addition in the grand scheme of things, but definitely something I'd like to see Blizzard continue in the future as well.

World of Warcraft: Classic artwork showing off Ragnaros

[Update #2]: World of Warcraft: Classic's character creation and name reservation services are now live!

[Update]: Blizzard will be opening up name reservations for World of Warcraft: Classic on August 12th!

While the World of Warcraft: Classic beta closed down its doors on July 12th, Blizzard announced that there will be one more Stress Test offering players a chance to check out WoW Classic before the official release. Originally the final Stress Test was supposed to run from July 25-26, but according to the latest announcement, it appears to now have been delayed indefinitely.

"We're hard at work preparing for the launch of WoW Classic, and we’ve reached the conclusion that we’re not quite yet ready to do our Global Stress Test (previously scheduled for next week)," reads the official update. "We’ll have a more definite date Soon™ and we’ll post it here as soon as we do. Thanks for your patience!"

Apex Legends' Season 2 update has arrived a little while ago, bringing with it a whole bunch of new content to play around with. While those changes were certainly welcome, the update has also unfortunately added a variety of new issues as well, some of which are incredibly annoying to deal with.

So in order to show that they are aware of the problems, as well as to let the community know what they're working on, Apex Legends devs have now released their official Trello Tracker. The list of bugs is still fairly small, but thankfully it does contain some of the most important issues.

[Update]: Valve has unleashed yet another update, this time around with even more significant balance changes!

If you've been playing Dota Underlords for a while now, then chances are you're aware there's only a couple of permutations that really work. The rest might get you through the mid-game, but sooner or later they'll end up getting absolutely crushed by Knights, Mages, or some of the similar archetypes.

In order to address this problem, as well as promote more of the Alliances, Valve has now issued a rather massive balancing patch. Numerous heroes have been heavily rebalanced and shuffled around the rarity tiers, Alliance-based items have been reworked so they appear in multiple tiers and offer different benefits based on the tier, while a whole bunch of 'normal' items have been tweaked in order to get them somewhat closer together in terms of power level.

[Update]: Blizzard will be opening up name reservations for World of Warcraft: Classic on August 12th!

The World of Warcraft: Classic community is an extremely diverse bunch. Some haven't played Classic in well over a decade, others have constantly been hopping from one private server to another, while the rest only really have experience with the current version of World of Warcraft.

Given the vastly different viewpoints and experiences, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to hear that the WoW Classic devs are getting a ton of bug reports for things that are 100% intended. So in order to set the record straight, the developers have recently started the highly informative "Not a bug" list.

[Update #2]: Overwatch's newest main tank Sigma has now arrived alongside the long-awaited Role Queue!

[Update]: Overwatch's next hero has been revealed to be Sigma - a shield based main tank with quite an interesting set of abilities. Best of all, he will be coming alongside the 2/2/2 Role Queue!

While it shouldn't come as much of a surprise given that it was leaked and rumored for well over two months now, I'm sure many of you will still be glad to hear that Blizzard has now finally announced a 2/2/2 (2x tank/2x support/2x DPS) Role Lock for Overwatch. Best of all, these changes will be accompanied by a matchmaking update that makes it so each of your roles has a unique and completely separate rating!

Much like World of Warcraft, you will be able to choose any number of roles before queueing up for a match. Since the queue times per role are likely to be wastly different, Blizzard will also be incentivizing the less popular roles with loot boxes and other goodies, so if you're a flexible player, the new system should be quite a fun one.
