[Update]: Ghostwire: Tokyo has now arrived for PC and PS5, and so far it looks like it's following in the footsteps of The Evil Within 1 and 2.
After the sudden departure of its creative director, the fate of The Evil Within studio's upcoming paranormal action-adventure Ghostwire: Tokyo seemed to be up in air. Thankfully, whatever trouble was happening behind the scenes appears to have been resolved now as Ghostwire: Tokyo has just recently had a big gameplay reveal.
So if you're curious about what exactly Ghostwire: Tokyo has to offer, as well as how its visuals have held up since that first announcement ages ago, you'll find what you seek in the freshly posted trailer. Have a look:

While a little bit smaller than some of the previous patches, DayZ's Update 1.08 has now arrived with a bunch of new additions and tweaks. It brings with it a brand new hunting rifle by the name of Sporter 22, a whole host of improvements to the base building and destruction mechanics, as well as couple of new additions like ovens and canopy tents to mess around with.
You can get a little bit of a sneak peek at what these things look like in-game through the recently posted teaser trailer. Have a gander, it's a fairly short one:

A short while ago the trailer for Crysis Remastered got 'leaked' through the Microsoft Store. Usually, as is the case with the recently announced Crash Bandicoot 4, this would only serve to further fuel the excitement for the upcoming grand reveal. Unfortunately, the Crysis Remastered trailer looked downright unimpressive, so much so that it brought into question the whole 'Remastered' part of the title.
After seeing the mostly negative response, Crytek has now chosen to not only push back the release date of Crysis Remastered, but the full reveal as well. No new date has been announced just yet, but according to the brief update, it should be "a few weeks" from now.

[Update #2]: The newest beta update has finally corrected most of the annoying bugs!
[Update]: The bugfixing patch has been pushed back to July 13th.
While the recent The Warden & The Paunch DLC has been a rather exciting one, it has unfortunately brought with it a whole host of issues. The biggest of these is the weapon strength bug that makes it so any additional bonus damage is simply not being counted, thus making it so that lords and units that rely on weapon buffs are significantly worse than they should be.
To Creative Assembly's credit, once they realized there's a problem, they quickly released a beta update in order to correct it. And for a while, everything was once again great. However, once they further updated the beta version in order to beef up the Greenskins and the newly added Black Orc Big Boss hero, they once again brought in some remarkably nasty problems.

[Update #2]: Crucible will be closing down its servers on November 9, 2020.
[Update]: Amazon's New World MMO has now been delayed until 2021 for pretty much the same reasons.
Back in May, Amazon released their team-based, free-to-play shooter Crucible onto Steam. Unfortunately, as is the case with way too many games these days, Crucible launched far too early. As a consequence of this, Crucible got slammed with mediocre to bad reviews, and as you might imagine, quickly started losing what little playerbase it gathered from the initial release.
Usually this would mean a slow and painful demise, especially for such a team-based game, but it would appear that the developers are not willing to give up yet. And so, in a move that doesn't exactly happen very often, they have now 'unreleased' Crucible and brought it back into Closed Beta.

[Update #2]: CD Projekt Red will be drastically slowing down development on Gwent: The Witcher Card Game in 2023 and beyond.
[Update]: CDPR is working on a new singleplayer-focused card game adventure based on Gwent - project Golden Nekker.
If you're a fan of the devious Gaunter O’Dimm from his The Witcher 3 appearance, you'll be glad to hear that he's just received an entire Gwent expansion themed around his trickery. The newly added Master Mirror expansion brings with it over 70 new cards to collect, an assortment of new mechanics and keywords to combo with, as well as evolving legendary cards that change in both appearance and power as the match progresses.
You can get a bit of an idea of what all of this looks like in actual gameplay, as well as what sort of atmosphere the Master Mirror expansion is going for, through two of the recent dev videos. The first is a brief launch trailer setting up the premise, while the second is a lengthy overview that will give you a pretty solid idea of the new mechanics and keywords. Have a little peek:

[Update]: Overwatch is bringing in Sigma's Maestro Challenge and accompanying Legendary skin this July 14th
It may have taken a fair bit of time to iron out the details, but Blizzard has now brought back Open Queue as an alternative competitive mode. Once it officially launches with the start of Season 23, Open Queue will have its own Skill Rating (SR) and leaderboard, and naturally, will be entirely separate from the main Role Queue mode.
Additionally, Blizzard has made it so the maximum SR you can earn after placement matches is now 3900. Players that hit this cap will still be matched according to their true skill rating so high-Masters won't be a complete mess, but should they desire to reach the higher echelons of the leaderboards, they'll need to put in a bit of extra work.

[Update]: Subnautica: Below Zero has now launched from Early Access, and without any sort of major technical issues!
The previous couple of Subnautica: Below Zero updates were all about adding an assortment of new content and revamping the story. The most recent update, however, is a little bit more modest in scope.
Instead of further expanding the game world, the Salad Days update has brought in a whole host of improvements and additions to spice up the existing biomes, as well as some fun new machines to toy around with. You can now recycle any unwanted items, warm up by brewing a cup of delicious coffee, and most importantly of all given the update's name, grow and assemble your very own alien salad!

[Update]: The newest update has brought in the legendary Gates of Ahn'Qiraj event and two accompanying raids!
Besides the corrupted blood plague that hits a bit too close to home these days, the opening of the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj is very likely World of Warcraft's most memorable in-game event. Not only did it require the coordination of an entire server in order to launch the grand invasion, but the sheer scale of the battle at the gates themselves was so massive that not even the beefiest of servers could truly cope with it.
So if you weren't around when this happened, or if you simply managed to miss it, I'm very happy to say that you'll soon have another chance to experience its lag-filled majesty! According to Blizzard's latest announcement, the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj event and its accompanying content will become available on July 28th across all realms.

[Update #2]: Hyper Scape is heading over to PC and consoles this August 11, 2020.
[Update]: Hyper Scape has now been announced, and as expected, it's a colorful and fast-paced battle royale game.
As some of you have likely noticed, there have been a few rumors recently about Ubisoft working on a brand new FPS game code-named Prisma Dimensions. Usually I wouldn't even mention this as rumors surrounding big studios tend to be dime a dozen, but this time around it would appear that they are true as Ubisoft has just launched the Prisma Dimensions teaser website!
"Prisma Dimensions is thrilled to bring you the first iteration of the Hyper Scape on July 2nd - and with it, the pulse-pounding action of Crown Rush," reads the brief teaser. "Get ready to drop into the neon-drenched streets of the world’s premiere virtual city, Neo Arcadia. You'll want to hit the ground running, as you’ll need every advantage you can find to give yourself a leg up on the competition. Only the best contenders will make it to the final showdown. Will you claim victory, or fall to the perils of the Hyper Scape?"
