Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 screenshot of Hachi the corgi in a mech

The original Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon was released as a Kickstarter reward to help tide players over before Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's full release. However, while it may have had incredibly humble origins, Curse of the Moon ended up being a remarkably fun Castlevania game!

As such, I am very happy to say that it's sequel - Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 - has now arrived alongside some rather positive reviews. The sequel brings with it all of the characters from the original, a greatly expanded map with a lot more content to sink your teeth into, a variety of new characters including a corgi in a mech suit, and most importantly of all, two-player co-op!

While the updates for Quake Champions have slowed down considerably, you might be glad to hear that there are still developers working it. In fact, they have just released a brand new update to mess around with!

As far as major additions are concerned, the Ithagnal-themed Tower of Koth map for DM, TDM, CA, Duel, Intagib, Unhly Trinity and arcade game modes is the definite highlight. That said, the update has also marked the arrival of Season 7, and along with it, a brand new Battle Pass containing skins for the Blaster Pistol, Shotgun and Hyperblaster, as well as six new shaders.

[Update #2]: The beta update has now been released in full, though sadly without the Huntsman rework.

[Update]: The Big Balance Beta has now also brought in a rework to the Huntsman career.

Ever since the Winds of Magic expansion and the accompanying stagger changes, the balance of weapons and talents in Vermintide 2 has bit a bit of a mess. For pretty much every single character and playstyle there were clear-cut choices that were superior in nearly every way, while some of the worst weapons were so terrible that even diehard fans didn't bother using them in higher difficulties.

All of this will soon come to an end, however, as Fatshark has teamed up with a group of talented modders in order to do a comprehensive Big Balance Beta update. While it doesn't change every single weapon and talent, the beta has significantly improved the almost-invisible weapons like Kerillian two-handed sword or one-handed sword, as well as nerfed the overpowered ones like dual daggers or sword and dagger combo.

New World MMO screenshot of an invasion

After their team-based shooter Crucible failed to meet expectations, Amazon did something a little bit unexpected - they pulled it from storefronts and put it back into closed beta. The reasoning, as you might imagine, is to ensure that once Crucible sees the light of day again, it will do so as a fully finished and polished game.

With that in mind, it also shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to hear that Amazon is doing the same thing with their upcoming MMO New World. Instead of having New World launch this August in a half-finished state, they have decided to push its release date back all the way to spring 2021.

Far Cry 6 leaked official artwork

[Update #2]: Far Cry 6 has now arrived onto PC and consoles with a few new twists on the age-old Ubisoft formula.

[Update]: Far Cry 6 has been announced alongside a rather fetching cinematic trailer

Due to some sort of error, the listing for Far Cry 6 and the artwork above suddenly appeared on the PlayStation store. It was just as quickly taken down again, but as you might imagine, this isn't one of those things that just slip by unnoticed.

So rather than pretend nothing at all has happened, Ubisoft has now straight up confirmed the existence of Far Cry 6. More importantly, they have announced that the full reveal will be coming this Sunday as a part of their Forward online conference.

Total War: Warhammer 2 Grim and the Paunch DLC artwork

[Update #2]: Total War: Warhammer 2's big bugfixing update has finally been unleashed.

[Update]: The newest beta update has finally corrected most of the annoying bugs!

While the latest The Warden & The Paunch DLC brought with it a whole assortment of new units and mechanics to toy around with, it unfortunately also added some really annoying bugs. Creative Assembly quickly responded by releasing a beta update, but as is often the case with any sort of complex game, their fixes brought in a bunch of new issues.

All of this and more was supposed to be fixed through a beta update earlier this week, though as you're likely well aware at this point, the update sadly never came. And according to the newest announcement, I'm afraid it won't be coming at all this week.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne screenshot of Alatreon breathing fire

[Update]: Monster Hunter World: Iceborne update has added the legendary Fatalis and Arch-Tempered Velkhana.

After a brief round of teasers, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne's Update 4 has now finally arrived. It brings with it the mighty Alatreon as a challenging new elder dragon to fight, the chilling Frostfang Barioth to add a bit of flavor to an old classic, as well as the Sizzling Spice Fest event with its own themed gear, quests and dishes!

As is tradition, not everything is immediately available. The Sizzling Spice Fest event will run from July 22 through August 6, while the Frostfang Barioth will debut as a limited-time quest from August 7 through August 19. The event will be available for everyone, regardless of experience, while those wishing to tackle the Frostfang Barioth will be need to be MR 24 or higher.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong official screenshot from the trailer

[Update #2]: Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong has now arrived with a fun story and plenty of jank.

[Update]: Unfortunately, it seems that Swansong has been pushed back to May 19, 2022.

I hope you're not tired of the recent influx of vampire themed RPGs, because there is a brand new one on the horizon. Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is an upcoming, narrative-driven RPG that will have you control three different vampires, each with their own distinct disciplines and abilities.

You'll then be able to further customize them through a variety of upgrades and skills, many of which will change the way you interact with others and how you explore the world. It'll be up to you to choose what kind of gameplay style you'll go for, as well as how you'll handle the consequences of your actions.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands screenshot of Bastion

[Update #2]: World of Warcraft's Shadowlands expansion has been pinned for an October 2020 release date!

[Update]: The Shadowlands pre-patch has landed onto the public test servers alongside the leveling rework, class changes and new event!

If you're eager to give World of Warcraft's upcoming Shadowlands expansion a try, you might be happy to hear that Blizzard has now announced the closed beta is just around the corner. And I really do mean around the corner, because it will be launching at some point next week!

As with the previous beta tests, there is unfortunately no way to guarantee entry. However, you can hop over to the WoW website and throw your hat into the proverbial ring. The odds of you getting in with the first wave are somewhat slim, but worry not as Blizzard tends to frequently increase the number of players throughout their beta tests.
