While a little bit smaller than some of the previous patches, DayZ's Update 1.08 has now arrived with a bunch of new additions and tweaks. It brings with it a brand new hunting rifle by the name of Sporter 22, a whole host of improvements to the base building and destruction mechanics, as well as couple of new additions like ovens and canopy tents to mess around with.

Naturally, the update has also brought in an assortment of bug fixes and balance changes, including tweaks to how your weapon sways while holding your breath. There's far too much to cover in brief, so if you're curious about all the details, you should check out the full patch notes.
