Crysis Remastered official artwork without logo

A short while ago the trailer for Crysis Remastered got 'leaked' through the Microsoft Store. Usually, as is the case with the recently announced Crash Bandicoot 4, this would only serve to further fuel the excitement for the upcoming grand reveal. Unfortunately, the Crysis Remastered trailer looked downright unimpressive, so much so that it brought into question the whole 'Remastered' part of the title.

After seeing the mostly negative response, Crytek has now chosen to not only push back the release date of Crysis Remastered, but the full reveal as well. No new date has been announced just yet, but according to the brief update, it should be "a few weeks" from now.

"The features you're looking forward to are already set, but we want to take the time on polishing the game," reads the announcement. "You might be aware of the leak yesterday and we want you to know: we've seen all the reactions - the good and the bad - and we're listening!"

"We're still working on a number of things in game, as well as the storefront. The extra time until release will allow us to get Crysis Remastered up to the PC - and consoles - breaking standard you've come to expect from Crysis games. We hope you understand what we're up to - and that you stay with us while we take the time to make a few more improvements."

While I'm not exactly sure how much can really be improved in such a short amount of time, I do hope they managed to pull through. After all, it wouldn't exactly be the true Crysis experience if even the mightiest PCs didn't weep while having to run it on max settings!

Once the full reveal goes live I'll make sure to let you know, and you can also keep an eye out over at the Crysis Remastered website.
