I'm not exactly sure what has caused the sudden surge in World of Darkness games, but I'm more than happy to see the setting explored in a variety of different ways. For example, while the recently revealed Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is taking things in a more dialogue-focused direction, Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is predictably opting to go for all-out brutal action.
If you're curious to see just how over-the-top this gets, as well as what sort of atmosphere Earthblood is going for, you can find your answers through the recently posted gameplay trailer. Have a gander, it's a certainly a curious one:

[Update #2]: Evil Genius 2's newest preview shows off Red Ivan's take on world domination.
[Update]: Evil Genius 2 has been pushed back to 2021, with no concrete release date set just yet.
Much like its predecessor, Evil Genius 2 is a highly satirical simulator about trying to take over the world through a variety of dastardly means. In order words, you'll be spending a lot of your time creating the perfect evil lair, recruiting and training a whole host of henchmen to do your dirtywork, dispatching any pesky secret agent that comes a bit too close, and as is tradition, building the most elaborate and impressive doomsday weapon the world has ever seen.
If you're curious what all of this looks like in gameplay terms, as well as what sort of features Evil Genius 2 is adding on top of the original formula, you should check out the newly posted developer preview. Have a gander, it's a rather informative one:

[Update]: Steelrising has now been unleashed, and so far it looks like it's as entertaining as it's buggy.
After tackling the themes of colonialism with Greedfall, studio Spiders is now planning to do the same with revolution and liberty through the upcoming Steelrising. However, given that this is Spiders we're talking about, their take on the French Revolution is a... little bit out of the ordinary.
"King Louis XVI's automata army is terrorising the citizens of Paris," reads the brief description. "Join the Revolution as Aegis and fight against this reign of terror to try and change the course of history!"

[Update #2]: Watch Dogs 2 is now free-to-grab over at the Ubisoft website.
[Update]: Killing Floor 2 and The Escapists 2 are also free to grab until July 16th, just in case you're looking for even more goodies.
Forward, Ubisoft's very first all-digital conference, will be going live this July 12th. As you might expect, it'll offer more details about Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, Hyper Scape, and perhaps most importantly, show off a few surprises!
In order to get as many people to tune in as possible, Ubisoft has also announced they'll be giving away Watch Dogs 2 for free. The only thing you'll need to do is log into your Uplay account, watch the Forward stream, and Watch Dogs 2 should instantly be added to your account. If you decide to stick around, it's also worth mentioning that Ubisoft is planning further giveaways throughout the conference, though these appear to be a bit more limited.

[Update #2]: Fatesworn, Kingdoms of Amalur's first modern expansion, will launch on December 14th.
[Update]: Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has now arrived alongside some fairly minor upgrades.
A little while ago, THQ Nordic announced that they are working on a remastered version of the cult classic action-RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Thankfully, we won't have to wait for too long as the aptly titled Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has been set to release this September 8th on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One!
The new release date isn't the most exciting part of this announcement, however, as THQ Nordic have also unveiled something many of us have already given up hope for - a brand new expansion called Fatesworn! The details, as is tradition, are few and far between, but so far it looks like the expansion will bring with it a whole host of new content to enjoy once it arrives in 2021.

[Update]: Right on schedule, Death Come True has now made its way to PC!
Kazutaka Kodaka, the creative mind behind the rather unique Danganronpa series, will soon be releasing his newest game onto PC - Death Come True. As you might expect, there is a bit of a twist with Death Come True to make things just a little more interesting. So instead of being a classic horror-mystery game, the upcoming Death Come True will play like an interactive movie as it's entirely made out of FMV (full motion video) sequences!
Rather than ramble on, I think it's probably for the best if you check out one of the trailers. It should give you a pretty good impression of just what Death Come True is going for. Have a looksie, and don't forget to turn on the subtitles!
