[Update]: Overwatch next experimental update has brought in a bunch of awesome quality-of-life changes.
After going through a brief round of testing, the most recent experimental update has now made its way to the live servers. As such, for the very first time in Overwatch's history, Blizzard has adjusted a hero's health in increments of 25 in order to better reflect their role!
Heroes like McCree and Brigitte have received an additional 25 health as they're mostly in the thick of combat, while Widowmaker has gone down to 175 health in order to give flankers a better chance to take her down before she grapples away to safety. Here's the full list of changes:
In order to avoid Cyberpunk 2077, Path of Exile's next big update has been pushed back until January

[Update #2]: Path of Exile's newest Echoes of the Atlas expansion has greatly beefed up the endgame.
[Update]: It seems that Path of Exile is not alone here. Everspace 2 has now been delayed in order to avoid Cyberpunk 2077 as well!
In an announcement that I'm sure came as a massive surprise to everyone, CDPR delayed Cyberpunk 2077 yet again. Instead of launching in November as previously planned, the ridiculously ambitious RPG will be arriving on December 10th, which is just one day before Path of Exile's major update was to supposed to arrive.
So in an effort to avoid potential disaster by competing with one of the most anticipated games of the year, Path of Exile studio Grinding Gear Games have now decided to announce a delay of their own. As such, Path of Exile's Update 3.13 and the accompanying leagues will be launching at some point in January.

[Update #2]: After two years in Early Access, Grounded will be launching in full on September 27th, 2022.
[Update]: Update 0.4 has now gone live, and as expected, it's a pretty good one!
While Grounded's updates might not sound all that bombastic due to how mundane all of the new stuff really is, they are still remarkably fun to experience once miniaturized. Last time around Obsidian greatly expanded the hedge and added ziplines, while the next update will almost entirely focus on the pond and the areas surrounding it.
You can expect to see aggressive koi fish that would love to make a snack out of you, and just in case you thought the world just doesn't have enough spiders to chase you around, a brand new diving bell spider as well! On the positive side, there will also be tadpoles and the always-peculiar water boatmen insects, both of which will rather chill out and mind their own business than nibble on your face.

[Update]: Valorant's Update 1.11 has returned, though this time around without the gamebreaking bugs.
The most recent Update 1.11 for Valorant added a brand new Agent by the name of Skye, as well as a whole bunch of bug fixes, balance tweaks and quality of life improvements. Unfortunately, the update also brought with it a surprisingly large amount of bugs.
Some of these were humorous, like Omen's smoke filling your entire screen with Sage's texture files, while others were downright game-breaking and made heroes like Viper and Brimstone almost useless. Given the impact and sheer number of problems, Riot has now decided to pull the entire patch back.

[Update]: There's even more stuff coming! Dying Light devs are now working on a next-gen update.
Much like the zombies that litter its streets and farmlands, Dying Light simply refuses to fade away! Despite releasing in the ancient times of 2015, Dying Light has just recently launched a major expansion, and has now decided to follow that up with a Left 4 Dead 2 themed crossover event!
So if you ever wanted to be an old man leaping from rooftop to rooftop with the grace of a ninja, you'll be happy to hear that Left 4 Dead's Bill has been added as a new playable model. You can also expect to see Gnome Chompski make an appearance as a two-handed weapon, and more importantly for those of you that love a bit of fire and brimstone, there's even new incendiary ammo for shotguns!

If hacking and slashing your way through untold numbers of ratmen and Chaos cultists sounds like a downright jolly time for you, I come bearing good news. As a part of Vermintide's 5-year anniversary celebration, Fatshark has now unleashed an extended free weekend for Vermintide 2!
And when I say extended, I really do mean that as Vermintide 2 will be entirely free-to-play until November 1st! Simply head on over to Steam, click on that giant green button, and you'll be practically covered in rats in no time!

With Blizzard slowly winding down Starcraft 2, there is a very clear RTS-shaped hole in the market that's just begging to be filled. As such, it should come as little surprise to hear that a brand new studio has just been founded with the express purpose of creating classic real-time strategy games.
However, what you might not expect is that the newfound Frost Giant studio is entirely staffed by former Blizzard devs! And not just any developers, mind you, but mostly those that have been in leading roles for Warcraft 3 or Starcraft 2, so the talent is certainly there.

[Update #2]: The day has finally come, Cyberpunk 2077 has been unleashed!
[Update]: In order to avoid Cyberpunk 2077, Path of Exile's next big update has been pushed back until January. So in a way, CDPR has managed to add yet another delay to their tally!
You know, it's sort of becoming hilarious at this point. The moment you think Cyberpunk 2077 is just around the corner and you'll finally be able to play it, CDPR swoops in and announces a brand new delay. Unfortunately, today's big reveal is no different.
Instead of launching this November as previously planned, Cyberpunk 2077 has now been pushed back by 21 days, until December 10th. The reason is that the team requires a bit more time to ensure Cyberpunk 2077 works correctly on all nine platforms, which I can't imagine is an easy task.

[Update #2]: Apex Legends has now landed onto Steam alongside the massive Season 7 update, though not without major problems.
[Update]: Apex Legends Season 7 preview shows off the flying Olympus map and Trident transport vehicle.
During the recent announcement, developer Respawn Entertainment revealed that Apex Legends will be coming to Steam this November 4th alongside a massive Season 7 update. While the full details behind Season 7 are still shrouded in mystery, the stuff shown so far indicates it might just be the biggest updates Apex Legends has ever seen!
First and foremost, the Season 7 update will bring with it a huge new map to explore - Olympus. Most of the action will take place in a beautiful floating city, which as you might imagine, means there will be plenty of places to accidentally (or perhaps even intentionally) plummet all the way down to the planet's surface.

[Update]: After a lengthy period of testing, Warcraft 3: Reforged has now unleashed Update 1.33 alongside player profiles, leaderboards and ranked play.
Even though Warcraft 3: Reforged's major content-filled update is still in development, Blizzard has thankfully continued releasing smaller balance patches in order to shake up the meta. The most recent Update 1.32.9 is exactly that as after listening to community feedback and watching some of the newer tournaments, Blizzard found that there was definitely room for improvement when it comes to faction balance.
As you'll quickly see, the focus of this update is on making Human players less prone to early-game harassment, as well as to hopefully push them towards quickly expanding. Because of this peasants have received more health, Undead's early game aggression has been toned down, while the Pitlord's level 1 rain of fire range has been reduced specifically to help weaken rush strategies against Human players.
