Apex Legends artwork showing off the new Legend Fuse

[Update]: Apex Legends' War Games Event is bringing in five limited game modes this April 13th.

As is tradition at this point, Apex Legends' next season will bring with it yet another hefty rework of Kings Canyon. This time around the poor island battleground won't get stomped on or sunk into the sea, but rather exploded into tiny little bits and pieces over which we'll get to brawl afterwards!

The Season 8 update will also bring with it an assortment of balance changes, a brand new ranked season and battle pass, as well as an explosive new Legend by the name of Fuse. So if you're curious what all of this might look like in actual gameplay, allow me to share with you the newest and rather fun trailer:

[Update]: The newly launched Update 1.2 has brought in an absolute ton of bug fixes and improvements!

In an announcement that came pretty much out of nowhere, CDPR has now released a whole bunch of resources and specialized tools to help modders. While these new tools will not directly give you the ability to mod the game, they will allow you to create your very own tools and really dig deep into Cyberpunk 2077's internal parts.

As for what exactly each of these tools and resources even do, that you can find out through the brief list down below. Have a gander:

[Update #2]: Overwatch is looking to nerf Wrecking Ball, as well as buff Winston, Orisa and Reaper!

[Update]: Overwatch's Year of the Ox event has arrived alongside a new Bounty Hunter mode.

As you're likely well aware, the tanks in Overwatch are currently in a bit of a strange place. Their role requires them to run into the enemy team and occupy their attention, yet their defensive abilities are simply no match for the insane amounts of burst damage currently flying around. So despite having large amounts of health, even the most durable of tanks can melt within a second if they make any sort of mistake. Not exactly a fun experience!

In order to sort this problem out, as well as tone down some of the most powerful heroes out there, Blizzard has now brought in nerfs for Tracer, Echo and Zenyatta. The list of changes is fairly short, so here's what exactly has been tweaked:

[Update]: All of the upcoming Strixhaven expansion cards for MTG Arena have now been revealed.

After what feels like an eternity of teasers and spoilers, MTG Arena's Kaldheim expansion has now finally arrived. Kaldheim brings with it an assortment of powerful gods that have alternative forms as either equipment, creatures or artifacts, plenty of tribal synergy for a variety of different races, and perhaps most excitingly of all, the return of snow lands and snow-based cards!

As for what exactly the setting is all about, that you can figure out through one of the teaser trailers starring good ol' Tibalt. Have a gander, it's a pretty fun one:

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition artwork for the Lords of the West expansion

[Update]: Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is getting a new expansion in late April 2022 - Dynasties of India!

Most games from twenty years ago, even the really good ones, have long-since been forgotten and replaced with more modern variants. Age of Empires 2, however, has not only managed to avoid that fate, but seems to be going through a bit of a renaissance these days with the player count rising month after month!

Things are likely to get even better in the near future as Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition has just received a brand new expansion! Lords of the West brings with it two new civilizations to explore (Burgundians and Sicilians), each of which offers their own unique twists and units, as well as three fully voice acted campaigns to mess around with.

[Update]: World of Warcraft's major Update 9.1 - Chains of Domination is going up for testing on the week of April 12, 2021.

Despite the previous round of nerfs, there are still some Mythic+ dungeons in Shadowlands that are far, far harder than their competition. Nowhere is this more apparent than in The Necrotic Wake and it's second boss Amarth. On Tyrannical weeks where bosses are more powerful the skeletons he frequently summons are capable of nearly one-shotting DPS players, while the amount of unavoidable damage thrown around is enough to make even the mightiest of healers suffer a bit of a breakdown.

As such, I am very pleased to say that Blizzard has now not only toned down some of The Necrotic Wake's brutality, but also extended the same treatment to other problematic bosses in both Mythic+ dungeons and the Castle Nathria raid. Plaguefall's Margrave Stradama will now be a lot gentler on healers, Sanguine Depths' first two bosses will deal a bit less damage, while the Spires of Ascension's final trash pack will no longer be twice as deadly as the boss itself.

[Update #2]: The newly launched Update 1.2 has brought in an absolute ton of bug fixes and improvements!

[Update]: CDPR has taken a major step forward for Cyberpunk 2077's mod support.

Cyberpunk 2077 released a little while ago, and unfortunately it did so alongside a whole host of problems. While the older consoles seem to have been hit the hardest, even the PC version has plenty of crashes, bugs and performance issues to contend with.

With all of that in mind, you'll be pleased to hear that Update 1.1 has now arrived with a hefty batch of fixes. First and foremost, the update has correct an assortment of crashes that could occur while loading saves or opening/closing the game, as well as improved memory usage across the board.

[Update]: The new Season 8 gameplay preview shows off Fuse and the hefty Kings Canyon changes!

After a whole bunch of teasers, Apex Legends has now finally unveiled the Season 8 update. Once it arrives this February 2nd, Season 8 will bring with it Fuse as an explosive new Legend, the 30-30 Repeater lever-action rifle, a whole bunch of new cosmetic items, and most importantly of all, another Kings Canyon rework!

While there is still no gameplay trailer showcasing all of these things in action, you can get a pretty good idea of what's coming through the most recent animated short. Have a gander, it's a surprisingly dark one:

[Update]: The Tracer, Zenyatta and Echo nerfs have now gone live without any additional changes.

Ever since the somewhat recent shield nerfs, playing tanks in Overwatch has become noticeably more difficult. It feels like even a single mistake can result in you dying within the span of a mere second, which really shouldn't be the case for a class of characters that's supposed to be all about rushing into the thick of battle and making space for the rest of the team.

As such, I am pleased to say that a brand new Experimental update has just arrived with some rather major nerfs to Tracer, Zenyatta and Echo - three heroes that can make any tank's life a living nightmare. Here's what Blizzard is experimenting with:

Path of Exile: Echoes of Atlas official artwork and logo

[Update #2]: Path of Exile's Update 3.20 is making rare monsters more rewarding, easier to understand and less hectic to fight.

[Update]: Path of Exile's January 2022 Siege of the Atlas expansion has reworked the endgame yet again.

After being delayed from its December, 2020 release date due to Cyberpunk 2077's overwhelming presence, Path of Exile's newest expansion has now finally arrived. The Echoes of Atlas update brings with it yet another overhaul of the endgame progression system, a whole bunch of new maps to explore, greatly improved and rebalanced Ascendancy classes, and naturally, a brand new final boss to endlessly die against.

Out of all these new features, it is the endgame improvements that I consider to be the most exciting. Not only are there eleven new and fun-looking maps to teleport around on, but the Atlas itself now comes with its own passive talent tree that ensures you're always progressing forward, and there are even craftable Watchstones that allow you to target specific rewards. Naturally, this doesn't mean you'll be able to get the perfect item within two days of starting the new league, but it will at least make your endgame gearing process a lot more pleasant.
