[Update #2]: BlizzCon 2022 has been officially canceled as Blizzard works on reforging their own reputation.
[Update]: Blizzard has accidentally revealed World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic!
After being delayed due to the pandemic, Blizzard's massive convention BlizzCon will be starting this February 19 in a purely online form. Best of all, unlike some of the previous years, all of the developer panels and announcements will be entirely free to watch.
If you're curious which games these announcements will even cover, you'll be pleased to hear that Blizzard has now released the official schedule. The Diablo and World of Warcraft series will be taking up a considerable number of time slots, while the much-anticipated Overwatch 2 will only be making a brief appearance.

If the combinations of horror and puzzles tickles your fancy, you might want to check out the newly released Little Nightmares 2. Much like the original, it's a highly atmospheric horror game that will have you explore an utterly bizarre world filled with all sorts of monstrosities, twisted imagery and traps, as well as a good ol' friend to help you along.
Since none of this is easy to explain through words alone, allow me to stop babbling and instead share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It'll clue you in quite quickly on just what Little Nightmares 2 is trying to accomplish. Have a peek:

[Update]: Overwatch's next update will be buffing Genji, Pharah, Sigma and even Reaper!
Over the past few months Blizzard has been putting in a lot of effort to achieve the right balance between the various tanks. While there is still a lot of work that needs to be done, the good news is that all of the balance tweaks are slowly bearing fruit as pretty much every tank is now able to fill out a specific niche on specific maps.
So in order to continue on with this process Blizzard has now brought in an experimental update with a nerf to Wrecking Ball, as well as buffs to Winston and Orisa. And just as a little bonus, the experimental update has also reworked Reaper's shotgun in order to make him a bit more consistent at medium range. Here's what Blizzard is looking to change:

[Update]: Vermintide 2's Chaos Wastes expansion will be launching this April 2021 on PC!
While Vermintide 2 is one of those games that gets immensely more enjoyable alongside a couple of friends, there is still a sizable number of people that primarily play it alongside AI companions. So in order to make their experience a lot more pleasant, as well as prepare things for the upcoming Chaos Wastes expansion, Fatshark has now unleashed a whole assortment of bot AI updates.
First and foremost, bots will now use healing items only when they are under 40% health, while also being more likely to give their healing items to players in need. This alone should make a sizable difference as previously bots would be a massive drain on the group's healing supplies, which as you might imagine, isn't exactly ideal when you're trying to guide them through the harder difficulties.

[Update]: World of Warcraft's major Update 9.1 - Chains of Domination is going up for testing on the week of April 12, 2021.
In an effort to make acquiring new items feel a bit more exciting, Blizzard made endgame gear in Shadowlands far less numerous than in the previous expansions. While this has certainly had the desired effect of making each new piece a noticeable upgrade, the newfound item scarcity has unfortunately also made the whole set of Mythic+ dungeons feel remarkably unrewarding.
This goes doubly so for the lower level dungeons as not only do you have a relatively small chance to get the item you want, but the item itself will be of a low item level and thus easily overpowered by stuff granted through random quests, events or world bosses. In order to sort this problem out, as well as make Mythic+ gearing a lot more pleasant for everyone involved, Blizzard will soon be bringing back the fan-favorite Valor Points!

I hope your wallet is ready, because a brand new Steam sale has just arrived! Best of all, even though the whole sale is themed after the Lunar New Year, the games on offer span pretty much the entirety of gaming, so it should be a remarkably easy task to find something new and interesting to play.
That said, if you're not exactly sure what to go for, allow me to give you a couple of suggestions. All of these are games I've played extensively over the past few years, which combined with their deep discount makes them quite easy to recommend. Here's the brief list, with a special shout-out going towards XCOM 2 as it's currently a mere €4 which is just ridiculously cheap for such a fun strategy game:

[Update]: Overwatch is looking to nerf Wrecking Ball, as well as buff Winston, Orisa and Reaper!
After being announced only a few days ago, Overwatch's annual Lunar New Year event has now gone live. You can expect to see a whole bunch of new cosmetics, the return of Capture-the-Flag in both competitive and casual varieties, three new challenges that reward an epic skin each, and perhaps most surprisingly, a brand new Bounty Hunter game mode.
The Bounty Hunter mode is a fairly simple concept, as you would imagine. One player is marked as a bounty and gets a whole bunch of bonuses, while the rest of the lobby needs to hunt them down as quickly as possible in order to become the bounty themselves, and so the cycle goes. It's fast, it's frantic, and it's also completely and utterly imbalanced. In other words, it's pretty good fun!

[Update]: Nioh 2 update has finally added mouse & keyboard prompts for the PC version.
If you grabbed the original Nioh during some of the recent sales and found yourself enjoying its take on the Souls-like gameplay formula, you'll be pleased to hear that the sequel has now finally arrived onto PC. Best of all, Nioh 2: The Complete Edition has launched with all three of its DLC expansions already bundled together: The Tengu’s Disciple, Darkness in the Capital, and The First Samurai.
Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It should give you a pretty good idea of what the PC version looks like and what it has to offer. Have a gander:

[Update]: BlizzCon Online schedule has now been revealed, and sadly Overwatch 2 won't have much of a presence.
If you're looking for some more information about Blizzard's upcoming games, or simply a preview of what is coming for their current ones, you'll be happy to hear that this year's Blizzcon convention will be running from February 19-20. However, unlike the previous years, this one will be entirely online due to the pandemic throwing a wrench into the whole thing.
As far as the big announcements are concerned, nothing has been revealed just yet. That said, I think it's safe to say we'll get a lot more information about Diablo 4, most likely a gameplay trailer and beta reveal for Overwatch 2, as well as more info about Hearthstone, World of Warcraft, and Heroes of the Storm updates. And if the rumors are true, which I do believe they are, we might also get to see the grand announcement for The Burning Crusade Classic!

[Update #2]: Total War: Warhammer 3's release date has been pushed back to early 2022.
[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 3's first gameplay preview has unveiled a brand new battle type featuring Chaos and Kislev!
After a few days of cryptic teasers, Creative Assembly has now finally spilled the beans and announced the next Total War game. Unsurprisingly, it's going to be Total War: Warhammer 3 which will take place in the northeastern parts of the Warhammer world.
What might come as quick a shock, however, is the roster of factions. Instead of the usual four, Total War: Warhammer 3 will launch only with the Daemons of Chaos, Kislev and Grand Cathay! The latter two have barely had any sort of real support or fleshed out lore throughout all of Warhammer Fantasy, so not only will we be getting the heavily armored bear-riders the Warhammer community has been clamoring about for years, but a whole assortment of new and ridiculously over-the-top monsters as well!
