[Update]: Monster Hunter Stories 2 has now arrived, and so far it's getting a pretty positive reception!
If you're in the mood for a little bit of a different Monster Hunter experience, you might want to check out the upcoming RPG spin-off Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. Instead of hunting down powerful monsters in order to chop them into pieces and use those pieces to make increasingly more absurd weaponry, Monster Hunter Stories 2 will have you take the more friendly approach of raising monsters, teaming up with them in battle, and eventually even riding them around as you explore the world.
You can get a bit of an idea of how all of this will look like in action, as well as what sort of style Monster Hunter Stories 2 is going for, through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a gander:

[Update]: The Adventures in the Forgotten Realms expansion has now arrived with 261 cards in tow!
Over the past few years MTG Arena has seen numerous bans in both the Standard and Historic formats. While some of these cards like Cauldron Familiar were situationally powerful and only really banned because of how overrepresented they were, there were also cards like Omnath, Locus of Creation or Oko, Thief of Crowns that were so ridiculously strong that they immediately warped the game around them.
The latter category is the one we'll be talking about today as MTG Arena has just brought in the Mirror Mirror event! To put it simply, from today until July 6th you'll be able to create any Historic deck regardless of your collection and mess around with rebalanced versions of twelve of the most powerful banned cards in MTG Arena!

[Update #2]: Total War: Warhammer 2's final and ridiculously huge The Hammers & Herdstones update has now landed, and it's quite an impressive one!
[Update]: Creative Assembly has finally detailed the massive Beastmen rework!
After being fairly silent over the past month or so, Creative Assembly has now gone into overdrive with the new announcements. Just yesterday they have revealed the full scope of The Silence & The Fury DLC including all four of the fan-favorite giant monsters (Ghorgon, Jabbersylthe, Coatl and Troglodon), and now they have announced that the accompanying free update will be just as impressive!
Besides all of the faction updates, the July 14 free update will bring with it the Great Brey Shaman as a generic lord for the Beastmen, as well as the highly temperamental Thorek Ironbrow as a brand new Legendary Lord for the Dwarfs. Perhaps most excitingly of all, Creative Assembly is also adding Ogre mercenaries with five unit variants!

[Update #2]: The Adventures in the Forgotten Realms expansion has now arrived with 261 cards in tow!
[Update]: MTG Arena's Mirror Mirror event has brought back rebalanced versions of the strongest banned cards.
Before MTG Arena's Historic format became popular, the plan was for Pioneer to be the default eternal format. In order to achieve this as quickly as possible, Wizards of the Coast began working on an absolutely massive Pioneer Masters set that would've brought in many of the competitive staples into MTG Arena, and with them the Pioneer format.
A fair bit of time has gone by since then, and Pioneer is still nowhere to be seen. And now, according to the newest update, it looks like it's going to be an even longer wait as Pioneer Masters has been pushed back at least a year, if not more.

[Update]: Burning Crusade Classic is bringing in The Black Temple and Mount Hyjal raids on January 27, 2022.
Due to a myriad of factors the PvP focused playerbase in Burning Crusade Classic tends to skew heavily towards Horde. Since battlegrounds require equal numbers of both Horde and Alliance players in order to function, the consequence of this situation is that the queue times for Horde players are obscenely long, and are only looking to become longer as more and more Alliance players give up on PvP.
In order to solve this problem, at least partially, Blizzard is now looking to implement Horde vs. Horde and Alliance vs. Alliance battlegrounds. The matchmaker will first try to make an opposite-faction match for you once you queue, but if that fails to produce a game within a reasonable amount of time you will be sent to fight against your own faction. Everything else, from rewards to reputation, will be awarded as usual.

[Update #2]: Creative Assembly has finally detailed the massive Beastmen rework!
[Update]: Creative Assembly has fully revealed Thorek Ironbrow and the Ogre Mercenaries which are coming as a part of the free DLC.
The Silence & The Fury DLC was first announced during the recent Skulls for the Skull Throne event on Steam, though that was obviously far too early as Creative Assembly left us with mere scraps for information. The only thing we really got out of the original announcement is that it would be a grand showdown between the Beastmen led by Taurox and the Lizardmen led by Oxyotl.
Well, the time for secrecy is now finally over, and I'm happy to say that Creative Assembly has now done a full (and rather impressive) reveal for The Silence & The Fury! First things first, here's the new and improved trailer:

[Update #2]: Overwatch's August balance patch has beefed up Genji, Soldier 76, Roadhog and Moira
[Update]: Overwatch Summer Games 2021 event has arrived with fancy new cosmetics and a remixed Lucioball.
In an effort to bring Overwatch's power level down to allow for more strategic gameplay, Blizzard has been dishing out a fair few nerfs over the past year. The last couple of updates toned down mostly tank and support heroes, while this newly launched set of changes is all about reducing the power of long range heroes like McCree and Ashe.
To be more specific, the update has made it so hitscan heroes lose upwards of 70% of their damage when shooting outside of their optimal range, up from the previous 50% penalty. While this might be hard to notice in-game, it is a serious nerf to the amount of pressure they can apply at range, as well as a rather chunky buff to flying heroes like Pharah!

[Update #2]: It took a while for this announcement to arrive, but Remedy Entertainment is now officially working on Control 2!
[Update]: Despite already working on numerous new games, Remedy has now announced a brand new co-operative PvE shooter - Project Vanguard.
In an announcement that I must admit comes as quite a surprise, Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games have just revealed that they are partnering to create a 4-player cooperative PvE (player vs. environment) game based on the Control universe. While the details on project Condor are still few and far between, I can tell you that it will be launching onto PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
“We are excited to continue and further expand our collaboration with Remedy. With over 2 million copies sold and revenue exceeding EUR 70 million, Control is an extremely successful game,” reads the brief investors announcement. “As a multiplayer game, Condor has the potential to engage the gaming community in the long run, contributing to 505 Games’ product revenue stream longer than traditional games.”

[Update #2]: Sadly, it looks like the culmination of Patch 9.1 storyline is a complete and utter mess.
[Update]: Patch 9.1's brand new Sanctum of Domination raid and Tazavesh dungeon are now live!
It may have taken a very long time to get here, but World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' very first content update has now arrived. Patch 9.1 - Chains of Domination brings with it a hefty new zone to explore, an additional raid and dungeon to endless throw yourself against, a new story campaign that will see all four Covenants join forces, the long-awaited addition of flying in classic Shadowlands zones, and the list goes on for a very long time.
So rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the recently posted developer preview. It'll give you a pretty good idea of just what all of this looks like in action and what the Chains of Domination patch is even trying to achieve. Have a gander:

[Update]: Apex Legends is adding Overflow as a brand new Arena map right after the Genesis event ends, on July 13, 2021!
A brand new Apex Legends update has just arrived, and if you're veteran player it's quite a nostalgic one! Not only does the Genesis update bring back the original World's Edge and Kings Canyon maps as a time limited event, but it has also added the chaotic Skull Town as a brand new Arena map!
Skull Town will be sticking around forever as a part of the Arena game mode, while the two retro maps will be rotating on an hourly basis in the normal Trios and Duos modes until the event's closure. Speaking of which, the Genesis event will only be running until July 13, so you might want to dive in as soon as you can.
