Minecraft's next major update will rework, improve and expand upon Caves & Cliffs

Minecraft mountain goats from the Caves & Cliffs update

[Update]: The upcoming Caves & Cliffs update will be split into two parts.

A while back Mojang said that they would like to update and improve pretty much every single Minecraft area, all in an effort to make the world a lot more visually interesting and fun to explore. Mojang certainly weren't joking about that either, because they have just recently tackled the gigantic task of reworking the Nether, and now they're setting their sights on something that's quite literally gigantic - caves and cliffs!

You can expect to see greatly improved cave and mountain generation that should produce more wildly unique and exciting areas, as well as add two new styles of caves - lush caves and dripstone caves. What exactly these new caves might entail, besides the obvious visual theme, I'm afraid we'll just have to wait and see.

Fall Guys Season 2 artwork showing the new cosmetics

[Update]: Fall Guys' major Season 2 update has brought in plenty of medieval mayhem!

While the recent mid-season update has added a nice bit of new stuff to keep things fresh, Fall Guys really could use some completely new content in order to bring back that feeling of chaotic excitement. Thankfully, we won't have to wait for too long for that to happen as the developers have just announced that Season 2 will begin on October 8, 2020!

You can expect to see a menagerie of medieval maps, a variety of new mechanics and challenges, new twists on old game modes, and as is tradition, a healthy does of pure chaos as everyone scrambles to 'help' each other out. There will also be a whole bunch of new cosmetics featuring things like wizards and knights, new and even wackier emotes, and all that kind of good stuff.

[Update #2]: Payday 3 has now arrived alongside a surprising amount of server problems.

[Update]: It took a while for us to get here, but Payday 3 will be launching in 2023 for PC and consoles!

There have been rumors circling around for quite a while now that Payday 3 is in development. This has been going on for so long that I went through the whole process of getting excited about the incoming announcement, leaving disappointed about no actual information being released, and then eventually even forgetting about the entire thing.

So with all of that in mind, I think you can imagine my surprise now that the developers have officially confirmed Payday 3 is in development! And yes, this time around the announcement is 100% genuine!

World of Warcraft's Shadowlands expansion has been delayed until late 2020

[Update #2]: The Shadowlands expansion has now gone live without any notable problems!

[Update]: Shadowlands beta will soon be making Covenant and Conduit choices a lot less intimidating.

World of Warcraft's upcoming Shadowlands expansion has been in closed testing for quite a while, and even though most of the content is currently present and accounted for, there is still a noticeable lack of balance and polish. If Shadowlands went live in its current state on October 27th as previously planned, it would end up being a bit of a mess, and that's putting it gently.

Thankfully, Blizzard has chosen to avoid that nightmare scenario and has now announced that Shadowlands has been delayed until later this year. The exact release date hasn't been announced just yet, but barring any major problems, I think it's safe to say it'll be arriving at some point during the holiday season.

Halo 3: ODST official screenshot from the PC version

[Update]: Halo: The Master Chief Collection Season 6 has arrived with a new map and gun-game inspired mode.

It's only been two months since the legendary Halo 3 made its way to PC, and already The Master Chief Collection has received a brand new addition. The newcomer, as you might expect, is Halo 3: ODST that explores the events preceding Halo 3 through a rather unique campaign given that you don't play as a super-soldier.

As for the PC port itself, Halo 3: ODST brings with it support for 4K resolutions and 60+ FPS. There's also the always-welcome mouse & keyboard customization, ultrawide support, FOV slider, and that kind of good stuff. In order words, Halo 3: ODST is a rather excellent PC port, much like the rest of The Master Chief Collection.
