Legends of Runeterra devs have shared a preview of the next expansion, its events and tournaments

[Update]: The Monuments of Power expansion has now arrived with a bunch of new cards.
If you're eager for an influx of new cards to spice up the Legends of Runeterra meta, you'll be happy to hear a brand new expansion is just around the corner. The second part of the Call of the Mountain set, now revealed as Monuments of Power, will be launching next week, on October 14th!
You can expect to see a brand new keyword to mess around with, a new event that should be a major improvement over the previous one, as well as the very first iteration of the spectator mode. There will also be fancy cosmetics to spruce up your cards with, and on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, in-game tournaments at the end of the season where the very best from all regions will have a chance to prove they have what it takes to go pro. How exactly all of that will work, I'm afraid you'll have to wait until later this year to find out.
Shadowlands beta will soon be making Covenant and Conduit choices a lot less intimidating

[Update #2]: Shadowlands pre-patch has now arrived with revamped leveling and tons of new customization.
[Update]: Blizzard has revealed the full list of changes arriving with the Shadowlands pre-patch.
World of Warcraft's upcoming Shadowlands expansion will feature five unique zones, four of which will have Covenants you can join in order to receive new abilities, cosmetics and story content. While this is a pretty fun idea on paper, in practice it's an absolute nightmare to balance and can easily result in a scenario where players have to google the most optimal choices in fear of picking the wrong ones and being stuck with them.
In order to alleviate this, Blizzard has announced that the next Shadowlands beta update will make Conduits (the Covenant-tied 'talent trees') a lot easier to experiment with. Instead of being able to reset your Conduits only once per week, you will now be able to change each individual Conduit by using up Conduit Energy, a brand new currency. Since you generate one Conduit Energy per day, up to a maximum of ten, this will allow you to more frequently tweak your build without removing the ability to do a full respec once in a while.
Overcooked! 2's free Moon Harvest update has baked a sizable batch of new content

While Overcooked! 2 is already stuffed to the brim with content, I am pleased to say that the developers have decided to jam in another sizable free update! The freshly baked Moon Harvest festival brings with it five new and seasonally decorated kitchens, lily pads as a new kitchen hazard to annoy your (former) friends with, as well as three new recipes for various types of mooncake.
You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this new content looks like in-game, as well as get a horrifying glimpse at how much chaos some of the new maps will cause, through the recently posted trailer. Have a peek:
Hi-Rez's team-based shooter Rogue Company has now entered free Open Beta

If you're looking for a new team-based shooter that isn't a battle royale game, you might want to check out Hi-Rez's Rogue Company. Expect to see objective-based game modes spread across a variety of maps, a whole bunch of characters (Rogues) that come with their own abilities and weapons, as well as a big focus on teamwork and cooperation.
Since trying to explain a shooter through words alone is a bit of a pointless task, allow me to share with you a preview for the newest Rogue Dahlia. It'll give you a pretty good idea of what Rogue Company looks like in action, what the characters are about, and whether it's your cup of tea or not. Have a peek:
Total War: Troy will be making its way to macOS this Thursday, October 8th

[Update]: Total War: Troy and its Amazons DLC have now made their way to macOS as well.
If you grabbed yourself a free copy of Total War: Troy but couldn't play it due to it being unavailable for macOS, I come bearing good news! According to Feral Interactive, the macOS version of Total War: Troy will be landing this Thursday, October 8th.
This also includes the brand new Amazons DLC, which brings with it two new leaders (Penthesilea and Hippolyta) with unique playstyles, as well as a fun twist on unit recruitment where you have to slowly upgrade your units through battles rather than simply purchase them. The Amazons DLC is also still free to grab, so if you haven't done it already, you might want to get on that before it goes up to its full price.
Grounded's Update 0.3 has added ziplines and expanded the Hedge area

[Update #2]: After two years in Early Access, Grounded will be launching in full on September 27th, 2022.
[Update]: Grounded's Update 0.4 has fleshed out the Pond area and added a bunch of new creatures
Grounded is Obsidian's miniaturized survival and crafting game set in the most dangerous environment of them all - the backyard! However, while Grounded is already pretty fun to roam around in, it does have a noticeable lack of content given that it has only recently launched into Early Access.
With that in mind, I am pleased to say that Grounded now has slightly more content as Update 0.3.0 has arrived a few days ago to spruce up the hedge area and add a few more building options to tinker with. The most exciting of these additions are the ziplines, which if you're like me and you love to build tall, offer both a fun and efficient way of getting around the map!
Apex Legends has added cross-play, as well as tweaked both Wraith and Pathfinder

[Update #2]: Apex Legends' massive Season 7 update is bringing in a new map, legend, vehicle and even guilds.
[Update]: Apex Legends' 2020 Halloween event is launching with a spruced up 'Shadow Royale' mode!
Quite a long time has gone by since the original announcement, but I'm happy to say that Apex Legends has now finally added cross-platform multiplayer with the new Aftermarket update. So regardless of which platform you prefer to play on (PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC), you can now make friends and group up with people without any restrictions.
Naturally, given the advantages a mouse & keyboard have over the classic gamepad, there are some limitations when it comes to random matchmaking. Console players will have access to the combined playerbase of both consoles, while PC players will continue facing off against other each other. If a console player teams up with a PC player, however, they will both be matched with other PC players in order to keep things fair.
