[Update]: Nioh 2: The Complete Edition has now finally landed onto PC!

If you're a fan of Souls-like action RPGs, you might be interested to hear that the excellent Nioh 2 will be making its way onto PC this February 5, 2021. It'll arrive as a part of The Complete Edition, which as you might imagine, includes all three of the DLC expansions: The Tengu’s Disciple, Darkness in the Capital, and The First Samurai.

As for the actual improvements for the PC version, it seems that Nioh 2 will be pulling out all the stops. You can expect to see support for 4K resolutions and stable 60/120 FPS, keyboard & mouse customization alongside gamepad support, as well as a whole host of graphical settings to mess around with in order to find that right balance between performance and visuals.

Legends of Runeterra has added its very first co-op game mode

In an effort to toy around with new gameplay ideas and unproven concepts, Legends of Runeterra devs have launched the Experimental Lab - a game mode with constantly changing and often wacky rulesets. While some of the previous Labs were remarkably fun to mess around with, this latest one is by far the most exciting as it brings with it the very first co-op mode!

Once you launch the co-op mode, you and your partner will need to select one of the predetermined Champions, each of which will feature a unique deck. More importantly, these decks will have a variety of new and co-op exclusive cards that can drastically change the course of battle, so the whole experience should be quite different from the usual one-on-one duels.

Overwatch's new map Kanezaka has now landed alongside Sigma, Ashe and Wrecking Ball nerfs

[Update #2]: Overwatch's Year of the Ox event is launching this February 4th alongside the Capture the Flag mode.

[Update]: Overwatch is looking to nerf Tracer, Zenyatta and Echo in order to help out tanks.

After going through a brief period of testing over the holiday season, Overwatch's newest free-for-all map Kanezaka has now been unleashed onto the live servers. This new Japanese map is located directly below Hanamura and is designed to support as many playstyles as possible, all the while being quite pleasing on the eyes thanks to some lovely scenery and the cutesy cat cafe that features all of Blizzard's pet cats.

The update has also brought with it some major nerfs to Sigma, Wrecking Ball and Ashe, as well as a surprise buff for Hanzo. These are exactly the same tweaks as in the recent Experimental update, so if you were hoping Blizzard would ease off on the Sigma shield nerf, I'm afraid you're out of luck. Still, Sigma has a tendency to bounce back a week or two after every single nerf, so I wouldn't discount him just yet.

[Update #2]: Hogwarts Legacy has now arrived, and I'm happy to say that it's looking quite good so far!

[Update]: Hogwarts Legacy devs have now detailed the PC system requirements and their expected performance.

If you were hoping to get your hands on Avalanche's Hogwarts Legacy action-RPG at some point this year, I'm afraid I bring some bad news. According to the latest announcement, Hogwarts Legacy has now been pinned for a 2022 release date on both PC and consoles, with no specific date given just yet.

"We would like to thank fans from around the world on the tremendous reaction to the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy from our Portkey Games label," reads the very brief update. "Creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans is paramount to us so we are giving the game the time it needs."

[Update]: Apex Legends' January 2022 animated short offers a closer look at Bangalore's bloody backstory.

Over the past couple of seasons Apex Legends has started putting more and more effort into expanding the lore and fleshing out the various characters. This newest story update is of the second variety, though ironically enough, it's here to flesh out a character that's made entirely out of metal - Pathfinder!

So if you're curious what exactly Pathfinder did before becoming a fan-favorite in Apex Legends, as well as who in the world even created him, you should definitely check out the animated short. Have a gander, and make sure to pay attention to the small details as this one has plenty of references:

[Update]: Atmospheric horror-adventure Little Nightmares 2 has now been unleashed.

With Little Nightmares 2's release date just around the corner, Bandai Namco has decided to drum up a bit of excitement by giving away the original. So if you're in the mood for a stylish horror-adventure, head on over to the Bandai Namco store and you'll be able to grab yourself a free copy of Little Nightmares.

The giveaway is exclusively targeted towards Europe, though from what I've heard, the Steam key is not region-locked and you'll be able to claim it regardless of where you are. In other words, if you end up having trouble going through the giveaway yourself, you might want to hit up a friend overseas and see if they can help you out.
