Skul: The Hero Slayer official artwork and logo

After spending about a year in Early Access, the action roguelike Skul: The Hero Slayer has now finally been released in full. Version 1.0 brings with it two new chapters to explore, the entirety of the story to experience, brand new upgrades and NPCs to uncover, an extensive rebalance of skills and enemies, and naturally, a whole bunch of bug fixes.

What all of this looks like in actual gameplay, however, that you can find out through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a gander, it's a pretty stylish one:

Should you decide to dive in, it is well worth mentioning that Skul, much like the rest of its roguelike brethren, is a fairly difficult game. It's almost guaranteed it'll take you a little while to get to grips with the combat system, so don't be too surprised if you end up kicking the bucket over and over again in your first few runs. That said, there is a constant progression system in Skul, so as long as you keep going you should eventually get to a point where you're comfortably blazing through everything but the strongest encounters.

Whatever your skill level may be, you can learn more about Skul, as well as keep an eye on any future updates, over at Steam. Have fun!
