Dead Cells crossover update artwork and logo

[Update #2]: Dead Cells' second big indie crossover update has added Terraria, Slay the Spire and Risk of Rain themed items, among others.

[Update]: Dead Cells' "Enter the Panchaku" update has added pan-based nunchucks and reworked legendary items.

Dead Cells has seen a fair few updates over the course of its development, though this newest one is certainly the most unique! Instead of simply adding a couple of new items and calling it a day, Dead Cells' 26th update "Everyone is here" has opted to instead theme everything around six popular indie games!

As such, you can now look forward to using fancy new weapons from Blasphemous, Skul: The Hero Slayer, Guacamelee, Hyper Light Drifter, Curse of the Dead Gods, as well as Hollow Knight. Blasphemous has brought with it the 'healing' Face Flask weapon, Curse of the Dead Gods has added a new Machete and Pistol combo to play around with, while Guacamelee's inclusion allows you to transform yourself into a chicken and lay egg-bombs in order to fight your enemies.

Since that last part sounds like absolute insanity, allow me to share with you the freshly posted teaser trailer to prove that I'm not just yanking your chain. Have a gander, it's certainly an interesting one:

In order to unlock all of these new toys you'll need to first find and conquer a variety of new and unusual rooms. You'll encounter these mysterious gateways throughout the Prisoners' Quarters, so make sure to keep an eye out while you're hacking and slashing your way across the world.

Update 26 has also brought with it a couple of balance changes, some quality-of-life improvements, as well as an assortment of bug fixes. You can check out all of the details, as well as learn more about the new weapons, over at the Dead Cells website. Enjoy!

[Update]: In a fun little twist, Terraria and Don't Starve Together have chosen today to launch their very own crossover events as well!
