First part of Minecraft's colossal Caves & Cliffs update has now brought in some very angry goats

[Update #2]: Second part of Minecraft's big Caves & Cliffs update is arriving this November 30th.
[Update]: Minecraft's newest DLC has added none other than Sonic the Hedgehog!
The Caves & Cliffs update was originally going to supposed to be one massive overhaul, kind of like the previous Nether rework, but due to the sheer complexity of the update Mojang ended up splitting it into two parts. The first of these has now arrived, and unsurprisingly, it brings with it a whole bunch of new stuff to mess around with!
First and foremost, there are three new mobs to encounter as you journey across the world: axolotls, glow squids, and the most dangerous of them all, goats! If you're wondering just why in the world you should dread the common mountain goat, allow me to give you a pretty good example in the form of the update trailer. Have a gander, and do make sure to watch your back:
Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade will be closing down its doors in September 2021

[Update]: After many struggles, Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade has now closed its doors.
Eternal Crusade's story is truly a tragic one. Despite the concept having a great deal of potential and the game itself being surprisingly fun to play even in the earliest beta, the developers never quite managed to iron out all of the major bugs and deliver on the level of polish Eternal Crusade needed in order to function as a multiplayer shooter.
This then started a chain reaction that simply couldn't be stopped. Players would get interested in the game and check it out, realize it's unfinished and depart for greener pastures, which would then leave the developers with no resources to pour into fixing the problems, which then meant that Eternal Crusade would continue it's rapid and seemingly endless slide downwards.

[Update #2]: It took a while for this announcement to arrive, but Remedy Entertainment is now officially working on Control 2!
[Update]: Remedy has announced that Control is getting a co-op focused spin-off - project Condor!
If Remedy's supernatural action-adventure Control managed to slip you by like it has many others, you might be curious to hear that it's now entirely free to grab! Simply head on over to the Epic Games Store, snag yourself a copy, and you'll be good to go after a bit of a lengthy download.
As always, the catch is that the giveaway is time-limited. Just make sure to add Control to your account before June 17th and you'll be able to play it whenever you want and for however long you want. It's a simple process, so I'd recommend getting it done while it's still on your mind.
No Man’s Sky's latest Prism update has brought in a massive amount of visual improvements

[Update]: No Man's Sky's Sentinel update has overhauled combat, added new robotic AI companions, tweaked a variety of visual effects, and the list goes on for a while.
Even though they've long since fixed No Man’s Sky and transformed it into a genuinely good experience, Hello Games don't seem to be showing any signs of slowing down with their major updates. If anything, they are getting more and more ambitious as the newest Prisms update has brought with it a whole bunch of visual improvements, on top of some long-requested community features.
You can expect to see improved reflections and support for screen space reflection technology, as well as new styles of volumetric lighting alongside better optimization for lighting in general. Hyperdrive warp effects have also been greatly improved, while new parallax occlusion mapping tech has brought additional depth to previously flat surfaces, and the list goes on for a while.
After a dominating performance, MTG Arena is now banning Time Warp

[Update #2]: MTG Arena has banned Tibalt's Trickery and Memory Lapse from the Historic format.
[Update]: MTG Arena is pausing development on the long-requested Pioneer Masters set.
To say that the recent MTG Arena tournament was a bit homogeneous would be one heck of an understatement. Not only was every single deck in the final eight blue/red, but five of them (including the winner) were almost exactly the same deck based around cheating in Velomachus Lorehold and using his ability to chain extra turns until the opponent was ground into a fine paste.
After witnessing such a dominating performance, Wizards of the Coast have decided that enough is enough. As such, starting from June 10, 2021 the often problematic Time Warp will be banned in the Historic format.
Necromunda: Hired Gun is a Doom inspired shooter set within Warhammer 40k's underbelly

While there are a ton of Warhammer 40k games around these days, the amount of good first-person shooters among them is either zero or one, depending on how generous you want to be to Space Hulk: Deathwing. As such, I am incredibly happy to say that we can bump that number up as the newly launched Necromunda: Hired Gun is not only oozing with Warhammer 40k atmosphere, but is also quite a competent Doom-like shooter as well!
Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you one of the gameplay overview trailers. It's a few months old by this point, but it should give you a pretty good idea of just what Necromunda: Hired Gun is going for. Have a gander:
Total War: Three Kingdoms devs have canceled all updates and are moving onto a new Total War game

In a bit of a strange announcement, Creative Assembly has now revealed that they are moving on from Total War: Three Kingdoms. What this means is that from this point onward there will be no more DLC or patches of any kind for Three Kingdoms. Development on it is now fully finished.
The reason I call this announcement strange, and the reason why Creative Assembly are even pulling away from Total War: Three Kingdoms to begin with, is that the development team is currently hard at work on a brand new Total War game set in the Three Kingdoms period and completely disconnected from the original. So instead of the traditional expansion-sequel like Total War: Attila, it seems like this new Three Kingdoms game will be a significant enough departure from the original to warrant standing on its own.
