Senua's Saga: Hellblade II screenshot of the giant

Given how well the original Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice ended up doing, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to hear that Ninja Theory is currently hard at work on a large-scale sequel. Unfortunately, while we do know that Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is on the way for PC and Xbox, the actual details behind its gameplay and story are currently still shrouded in mystery.

If you would like a little teaser of things to come, however, then you'll be glad to hear that Ninja Theory has recently shared the very first gameplay preview for Hellblade II. The video won't exactly tell you what Hellblade II's story is all about, but it will at least give you a pretty solid impression of what sort of tone and atmosphere the devs are going for, as well as how fancy they're making the visuals. Have a look:

Speaking of visuals, it's also worth mentioning that the original Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has received an Enhanced Edition upgrade on PC a short a while ago. This update has brought with it ray traced reflections and shadows, improved materials, better particles and LOD (level of detail), as well as support for both Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR. For a free update, that's rather sizable!

As for Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, once we get more information, ideally alongside a release date, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can learn a tiny bit more about the sequel over at the Ninja Theory website.
