[Update #2]: Microsoft Flight Simulator update has now fleshed out Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and Andorra.

[Update]: Microsoft Flight Simulator will be adding helicopters, gliders and sailplanes in 2022.

After sprucing up France, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg with the April update, Microsoft Flight Simulator devs have now set their sights on prettying up the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Much like before, the update has brought in a whole array of improvements to the landscape and architecture, fleshed out around 100 airports, as well as added 77 fancy new points of interest to explore.

Since words alone aren't exactly the best way to convey such visual changes, allow me to also share with you the recently posted trailer. It should give you a much better idea of just what kind of landmarks have been added. Have a gander:

While the update itself is entirely free, you will need to jump through a few hoops in order to start exploring it on your own. In other words, you'll need to first ensure Microsoft Flight Simulator is fully updated, after which you will have to visit the Marketplace and grab yourself a copy of the Nordic Countries Bundle. It's a little bit of a hassle, but still well worth the effort as some of the new scenery is just gorgeous!

You can learn a little bit more about this update, as well as check out the full list of added points of interest, over at Steam. Have fun!
