[Update]: Apex Legends is adding Overflow as a brand new Arena map right after the Genesis event ends, on July 13, 2021!
A brand new Apex Legends update has just arrived, and if you're veteran player it's quite a nostalgic one! Not only does the Genesis update bring back the original World's Edge and Kings Canyon maps as a time limited event, but it has also added the chaotic Skull Town as a brand new Arena map!
Skull Town will be sticking around forever as a part of the Arena game mode, while the two retro maps will be rotating on an hourly basis in the normal Trios and Duos modes until the event's closure. Speaking of which, the Genesis event will only be running until July 13, so you might want to dive in as soon as you can.
Magic: Legends ARPG is shutting down before even leaving Open Beta

[Update]: Undaunted by Magic: Legends' downfall, Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro have opened up a new PC and console gaming division.
The Diablo inspired Magic: Legends released into Open Beta a little while ago to some fairly negative reception, and for good reason. With overly restrictive classes, a noticeable lack of polish and gameplay that simply didn't manage to capture Magic: The Gathering's spirit, Magic: Legends ended up being one of those games I played for 30 minutes before deciding enough is enough.
This ended up being a fairly common sentiment, to the point that all discussion surrounding Magic: Legends seemed to fade away within a mere few days of release. As such, it should come as little surprise to hear that the developers are now pulling the plug on the project in its entirety.
Bandai Namco's newest JRPG Scarlet Nexus has now landed onto PC and consoles

The freshly released Scarlet Nexus is an action-focused JRPG set in the distant future where humanity has discovered numerous 'psycho-kinetic' powers. As you might expect from that alone, Scarlet Nexus will have you explore the world and fight hordes of mutated monstrosities with an assortment of flashy abilities, all the while trying to piece together just what in the world is happening with the story.
You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in action, as well as what sort of atmosphere Bandai Namco is going for, through the launch trailer. Have a gander:
Total War: Warhammer 2 devs have begun teasing a new and mysterious free DLC

[Update #2]: Creative Assembly has fully revealed Thorek Ironbrow and the Ogre Mercenaries which are coming as a part of the free DLC.
[Update]: Creative Assembly has revealed the full scope of the upcoming Beastmen vs Lizardmen DLC, and I was kind of right about the mercenaries!
Total War: Warhammer 2's penultimate DLC The Silence & The Fury will be arriving on July 14, 2021, bringing with it a whole host of goodies for both the Lizardmen and Beastmen. While the exact details haven't been announced just yet, you can expect to see Oxyotl as a Legendary Lord for the Lizardmen and Taurox for the Beastmen, a variety of new units and heroes, unique campaign mechanics for both faction, and if the recent Wood Elf DLC is any judge, a massive rework of the Beastmen faction as a whole.
The good news doesn't end there, however, as Creative Assembly has also just revealed that there will be a sizable free DLC accompanying The Silence & The Fury. Once again very few details are currently available, but what I can tell you is that the free DLC will bring with it a new Legendary Lord, a new unit, and most mysteriously of all, new reinforcements!
MTG Arena's D&D inspired Adventures in the Forgotten Realms expansion is coming next week

[Update #2]: The upcoming Adventures in the Forgotten Realms expansion has now been fully revealed.
[Update]: MTG Arena is pausing development on the long-requested Pioneer Masters set.
Instead of the usual Core Set that mostly serves as a way to reprint highly useful cards into the Standard format without them being constrained by any one plane, Wizards of the Coast will soon be releasing a fully fledged Dungeons & Dragons themed expansion - Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. The set will bring with it 261 cards spread across all rarities, a good chunk of which will stick to the theme and feature dragons, dungeons and perhaps even dragons in dungeons!
While dragons will mostly function as classic Magic cards, the new dungeon mechanic will be quite a departure from the norm. There will only be three pre-set dungeons that everyone will always have access to, each of which will have multiple paths that offer small benefits once you go through them.
Killing Floor 2's summer event lets you escape the scorching heat by going into space!

[Update]: Killing Floor 2's Christmas themed Chop Til’ You Drop update has brought in festive enemies and costumes.
Continuing on with the tradition started in the original Killing Floor over a decade ago, Killing Floor 2's summer update has now added a nice chunk of new content to mess around with. The most exciting of these additions is the brand new Moonbase map which, as I'm sure you'll be shocked to hear, takes place on a secret Horzine research outpost on the Moon and features low gravity across the map!
You can also expect to see two new free weapons: the HRG Blast Brawlers for the Support that serve as an alternative to the Static Strikers, and the HRG Bastion for the SWAT that serve as an alternative to the Stoner 63a LMG. As for the paid DLC, the update has also added the FAMAS Masterkey for the Commando and Support that is essentially an assault rifle with a shotgun attachment, as well as the Thermite Bore for the Firebug that, true to its name, launches thermite grenades that both explode and light enemies on fire.
Borderlands devs are working on a more RPG focused spin-off - Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

[Update #2]: Mark March 25, 2022 on your calendar, as that's when Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will be launching for PC, PlayStation and Xbox!
[Update]: Borderlands 2's highly memorable Tiny Tina focused DLC has been released as a standalone game.
One of the best pieces of DLC across all three of the main Borderlands games is Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep. The DLC poked fun at the very concept of RPGs with boatloads of ridiculous enemies and wildly imaginative locations, featured some of the best writing across the entirety of the series, and perhaps most importantly of all, had a nice little emotional note at the end to make you really care for the characters.
Given how well that whole experiment turned out, it should come as little surprise to hear that Gearbox are now looking to give it another try... though this time around as a fully fledged game! The freshly announced Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will have you roll your very own multiclass hero, after which you will be set loose on an outlandish world to destroy hordes of monsters and loot anything that isn't nailed down particularly well.
