[Update #2]: Overwatch 2 devs have now unveiled the very first roadmap alongside Junker Queen's cinematic short.
[Update]: Overwatch 2's PvP mode is going free-to-play and launching on October 4th, 2022!
Given their importance in the new 5v5 world, tanks have so far received the most attention from the Overwatch 2 team. This is the most apparent with Orisa, a hero that went from being a fairly boring line-holder to the ultimate killing machine that simply bulldozes her way through any opposition. Needless to say, she's been through one heck of a glow up!
However, not all heroes have made the transition to Overwatch 2 quite so successfully. Junkrat and Symmetra, two heroes that have been heavily geared towards combating shield tanks, have suddenly found themselves without much purpose in the significantly more dynamic Overwatch 2. So in order to sort this issue out, Blizzard is currently looking into reworking either their weapons or abilities, all with the intention being to promote more skillful play and give the two heroes an interesting niche to fill.

[Update #2]: MultiVersus' Season 1 update has just added the first Battle Pass, while Rick & Morty will be coming soon.
[Update]: MultiVersus has now launched in full, and alongside a rather spectacular player count!
If you're a fan of Super Smash Bros. inspired fighting games, you might be interested to hear that Warner Bros.' is working on a cross-over madhouse by the name of MultiVersus. To put it quite simply, MultiVersus is a primarily 2v2 platform fighter where characters like Batman, Superman, Bugs Bunny, Jake the Dog, Shaggy and even Arya Stark get to smash each other over the head with a large array of ridiculous attacks.
Since words alone can't exactly do the concept justice, allow me to share with you the official trailer. Have a gander, it's quite the sight to behold:

[Update #2]: Bethesda's space exploration game Starfield has now arrived alongside a massive amount of praise.
[Update]: Arkane's vampire infused co-op shooter Redfall has arrived alongside a cornucopia of complaints.
In an announcement that has become a remarkably common sight these past few months, Bethesda has just revealed that they are delaying two of their games. In other words, Bethesda's action-RPG Starfield and Arkane's open world first-person shooter Redfall have now been pushed back to the first half of 2023.
“The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them,” reads the brief developer update. “We can't wait to share our first deep dive into the gameplay for both Redfall and Starfield soon.”

After spending a fair bit of time on PlayStation 4 and Switch, the turn-based tactics game Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia has now landed onto Steam. It brings with it six playable factions, an absolute ton of units and monsters to play around with, as well as the usual assortment of PC improvements.
Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the PC gameplay trailer. It's a fairly lengthy one, so it should clue you in quite quickly on just what The Legend of Runersia is really all about. Have a gander:

[Update #2]: Immortal Empires will be coming in August with 86 playable factions and a bunch of awesome improvements!
[Update]: The patch has now arrived, and I'm happy to say that the new Regiments of Renown are even better than expected!
In order to fix some of Total War: Warhammer 3's most glaring issues, Creative Assembly recently announced that they are working on a bunch of major updates. The good news doesn't end there as the Warhammer team has also revealed that the first one in line, Update 1.2, will be launching the very next week!
No exact date has been announced just yet, but you can expect to see either more information or the update itself on Tuesday, May 17th. Either way, I'll make sure to let you know what's going on once Creative Assembly finally spills the beans.

[Update #2]: Apex Legends' Season 15 Eclipse is bringing Catalyst as a new legend along with a “stellar” new map.
[Update]: Apex Legends Season 14 Hunted is bringing in the sniper-focused Vantage and reshaping Kings Canyon.
After a brief round of teasers and previews, Apex Legends' Season 13 - Saviors has now finally been released. It brings with it Bangalore's brother Newcastle as a brand new and defense-focused legend, a couple of fun locations to mess up on the Storm Point map, as well as a whole bunch of new cosmetics to collect.
Most importantly, ranked play has received yet another rework. This time around the goal behind the tweaks is to incentivize teamwork and playing for the win, and the various sources of RP have been shuffled around in order to make that happen. The topic's a bit too complicated to easily summarize, so if you're looking for all of the details you can find what you seek over at the recent developer update.

[Update]: Stellaris' Toxoids Species Pack has added noble knights, poisonous baths and bad breath.
After quite a few teasers and previews, Stellaris' newest expansion Overlord has now finally been released. As the name might imply, Overlord is all about offering you new ways of projecting your power and asserting your will over the universe, be this for the betterment of all or merely yourself.
What this means in gameplay terms is that the whole vassalization mechanic has been reworked to be more interesting for both parties, and this even includes cases where your empire ends up on the wrong side of a galactic tyrant! There's also new mid-game megastructures to play around with, three new enclaves to butter up for major benefits, as well as five new origins to give you a new perspective and challenges to overcome.

[Update #2]: MTG Arena's June 2nd update is adding new cards and long requested quality-of-life improvements.
[Update]: MTG Arena is getting the Commander focused Battle for Baldur's Gate set on July 7th.
As the very first step on the long journey towards Pioneer, MTG Arena recently added the Explorer format which features all of the currently available cards from Return to Ravnica and onwards. However, since the fledgling Explorer format doesn't have the same breadth of cards and strategies as Pioneer, Wizards of the Coast pledged to balance it separately in order to make sure no deck becomes too dominant.
Good thing too, because only two weeks have gone by and already Wizards of the Coast has felt compelled to issue some bans! The first of these should come as no surprise given that we're talking about Tibalt's Trickery, the bane of pretty much every constructed format in MTG Arena. Tibalt's Trickery is being banned not because it's too powerful though, but rather because it creates a large amount of non-interactive games that are decided by pure random chance. Those games also tend to be incredibly boring for both sides, so good riddance as far as I'm concerned!

After going through a rather lengthy delay, the co-op focused Batman spin-off Gotham Knights has recently been pinned for an October 25th, 2022 release date. I can only hope that's going to be enough time to get everything polished up and ready to go, because if the latest gameplay preview is any judge, there's still a lot of work to be done!
Before I babble on, however, allow me to share with you the freshly posted Nightwing and Red Hood gameplay demo. It showcases some serious flaws, there is no denying that, but there's a lot of good stuff in here as well. Have a peek:

[Update]: Season 13 - Saviors has now arrived alongside a whole host of balance changes.
I hope you're ready for a bit of a shake-up, because Apex Legends' chunky Season 13 update is coming this May 10th, 2022. It'll bring with it Bangalore's brother Newcastle as a brand new and defense-focused legend, a couple of fun new locations to spice up the Storm Point map, the usual assortment of new skins and cosmetics to collect, as well as yet another rebalance of how ranked play progression works.
Unfortunately, the rumors about the Nemesis assault rifle being a part of Season 13 have ended up not being true. Whether the weapon will arrive in a subsequent update, or if the whole thing was scrapped entirely somewhere along the way, I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.
