The Witcher 3's Geralt made his way into the PS4 version of Monster Hunter: World back in February. Instead of simply being a cosmetic re-skin, Geralt arrived alongside his own unique quest, voice acting, equipment, combat moves, as well as two new bosses to square off against - the Leshen and the Ancient Leshen. And if simply playing as Geralt wasn't enough, the update also added a bunch of Witcher-themed items to craft, both for yourself and for your Palico companion!
If that sounds as enticing to you as it does to me, you might be glad to hear that the long wait will soon be over! According to the recent Steam announcement, the Witcher 3 cross-over event and its accompanying bug fixes will be heading to the PC version of Monster Hunter: World on May 9th.

[Update]: NetherRealm is stopping development on Mortal Kombat 11 and moving onto a new game.
After quite a few previews, teasers and controversies, Mortal Kombat 11 has now finally made its way to both PC and consoles. It brings with it 25 playable characters, both newcomers and classics alike, a continuation of the somewhat convoluted storyline, as well as even more ridiculous action and over-the-top gore. Long story short, it's a new Mortal Kombat game!
If you're wondering what exactly this might look like in gameplay terms, as well as what the story is all about, allow me to share with you the recent launch trailer. Have a gander:

Blizzard has been saying for years that they would like to introduce a map maker into Overwatch, or at the very least something to help players create their very own content. The first phase of this project arrived alongside the custom game system quite a while ago, and even though the whole thing was incredibly basic, it showed that there is a great deal of interest in modding Overwatch.
While the map maker is still nowhere to be seen, I am very happy to announce that Blizzard has now released a fairly comprehensive scripting tool in order to give players a chance to create their very own game modes and events, as well as play the ones created by the community at large. The Workshop system is currently being tested on the PTR, so if you would like to see it for yourself, simply change your region to "PTR" on the PC version and you'll be able to create your very own game modes in no time.

As you're most likely aware, items in the classic World of Warcraft were not entirely static. Some of the most popular weapons and armor were added through later patches, various tier sets had their entire stat distribution changed, while a couple of items even went through significant reworks in order to address balance issues.
With World of Warcraft: Classic launching alongside the final Patch 1.12, the big question is how exactly the developers are planning to handle the various items and the changes they went through. The answer, I'm pleased to report, is in pretty much the best way they possibly could!

After a somewhat disappointing second episode, Life is Strange 2 will be continuing on May 9th with Episode 3: Wastelands. The details are few and far between, but from what I can tell you so far the brothers will yet again be forced to survive on the fringes of society, this time around dealing with a close-knit community of drifters and runaways, and eventually even getting involved in the illegal cannabis trade.
If you're up for a little bit of a sneak peek, allow me to share with you the recently posted teaser for Episode 3. There's no need to worry about any sort of spoilers as the whole trailer is barely thirty seconds long. Have a gander:

Overwatch's third annual Archives event has arrived a little while ago, bringing with it a brand new co-op mission, as well as a variety of new cosmetics to collect. While the Storm Rising mission was a bit of a disappointment in terms of pure gameplay, the Havana map the whole event takes place on is both beautiful and really fun to navigate!
As such, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Blizzard has now released the entire map onto the PTR for testing! If you would like to check out the new Havana Escort map for yourself, all you'll need to do is change your server location to "PTR" on the PC version. Do that, and after a brief download you'll be able to see what exactly has changed between the event map and the standard one, as well as how the action flows when real players are involved.

While Apex Legends is still an enjoyable game, the pace and quality of its updates has not exactly been ideal. For example, after a fairly lengthy delay the newest patch has brought with it a lovely 10% damage reduction passive for Gibraltar and Caustic... as well as a bug that sometimes renders that passive completely useless and makes it so the 10% damage is taken directly from the character's health, completely bypassing any shields.
In order to address these sort of bugs, as well as announce their plans for the future, Respawn has now released a rather lengthy update on Reddit. Respawn unfortunately doesn't go into too many details here as a lot of the stuff is still under heavy development, but long story short, you can expect to see a bunch of bug fixes throughout Season 1, while Season 2 will bring with it a more significant content update.

In games like Overwatch the bigger characters have a proportionally larger health pool, as well as numerous defensive abilities to ensure they don't get absolutely annihilated the moment they step out of cover. When it comes to the bigger characters in Apex Legends, this is not the case. For example, Gibraltar might have a small shield to protect himself, but given that he has the same health as Wraith yet is over twice as wide, he is always going to be at a significant disadvantage in firefights.
While there is still work that needs to be done in order to ensure the Legends are balanced, I am very glad to say that the recent Apex Legends update has finally buffed the 'Thicc Bois' by beefing up their abilities, as well as giving them a 10% damage reduction passive. I doubt this will be enough to make Gibraltar and Caustic as powerful as the always-amazing Wraith, Lifeline or Pathfinder, but it's certainly a step in the right direction and one that I am more than pleased to see.

As you're most likely aware, the Norte-Dame cathedral recently had a catastrophic fire that caused significant damage to a building that was already in need of renovation. In order to ensure the Norte-Dame returns to its former glory and opens its doors as quickly as possible, numerous companies and individuals have started pouring considerable amounts of money into a restoration fund, including Ubisoft themselves.
"As the smoke clears on the events that unfolded on Monday at the Notre-Dame de Paris, we stand in solidarité with our fellow Parisians and everyone around the world moved by the devastation the fire caused," reads the official announcement. "In light of Monday's events, we will be donating €500,000 to help with the restoration and reconstruction of the Cathedral. We encourage all of you who are interested to donate as well."
