The Witcher 3's Geralt fighting against a Rathian

After his appearance in Soulcalibur VI, The Witcher series' Geralt has now continued his interdimensional tour by paying a visit to the console versions of Monster Hunter World. Rather than being a simple cosmetic addition, Monster Hunter: World's Geralt has arrived alongside his own unique quests, voice acting, equipment, combat moves, as well as two new bosses to square off against - Leshen and Ancient Leshen. A rather sizable amount of content for a free update!

If you're wondering what all of this looks like in gameplay terms, however, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. Have a gander, it's quite an exciting one:

The one catch here is that this update is currently only available for the console versions of Monster Hunter: World, while the PC will be getting it at some point in the future. Capcom has previously said that they are planning to speed up the pace of PC updates, but given how many patches we're currently behind, I'm afraid we're likely going to have to wait for a couple of months before Geralt finally arrives for PC.

You can read a little bit more about this update, as well as check out all of the rewards, by heading over to the official website. Once Capcom reveals any more details about the PC version I'll make sure to let you know, but until then I'm afraid all we can do is sit and wait. Hopefully it won't take as long as some of the first updates!
