Witcher 3's Geralt fighting against Monster Hunter: World's Rathian

The Witcher 3's Geralt made his way into the PS4 version of Monster Hunter: World back in February. Instead of simply being a cosmetic re-skin, Geralt arrived alongside his own unique quest, voice acting, equipment, combat moves, as well as two new bosses to square off against - the Leshen and the Ancient Leshen. And if simply playing as Geralt wasn't enough, the update also added a bunch of Witcher-themed items to craft, both for yourself and for your Palico companion!

If that sounds as enticing to you as it does to me, you might be glad to hear that the long wait will soon be over! According to the recent Steam announcement, the Witcher 3 cross-over event and its accompanying bug fixes will be heading to the PC version of Monster Hunter: World on May 9th.

You can get a pretty good idea of what this event entails, as well as what Geralt looks like in his newest incarnation, through one of the original trailers down below. Have a gander, it's a pretty fun one:

Once the update goes live I'll make sure to let you know, but until then you can learn a little bit more about this crossover event by hopping over to Steam.
