[Update]: The C&C Remastered Collection has now arrived, and thankfully, it's pretty darn good!
If you're in the mood for some truly oldschool RTS action, you'll be happy to hear that the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is nearly upon us. Expect to see it arrive this June 5th with remastered visuals, all three expansion packs, as well as rebuilt multiplayer.
You'll also be able to enjoy a large bonus gallery of unreleased footage and behind-the-scenes content, over seven hours of remastered music by Frank Klepacki, quick save and auto save support, a variety of accessibility features and in-game tooltips, and the list goes on for a while. Long story short, unless Petroglyph manages to make each PC self-immolate upon installation, the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection should be a pretty darn good one!

[Update #2]: Total War: Troy's Amazons DLC will be free to grab just like the base game.
[Update]: Creative Assembly has now released the gameplay preview as well, and sadly it's a bit of a mixed bag.
In a bit of a surprising announcement, Creative Assembly has revealed that Total War: Troy will be an Epic Games Store exclusive for 12 months. However, what came as a real shock is that they also said it will be entirely free to grab during the first 24 hours after launch!
So whether you're a fan of Total War games or not, you should definitely put a pin on August 13th as that's when Total War: Troy will be unleashed upon the world. As for the inevitable Steam version, it'll come exactly one year after the Epic one - on August 13, 2021.

[Update]: Minecraft: Dungeons very first DLC, Jungle Awakens, is coming this July 1st.
A short while ago Minecraft: Dungeons arrived for both PC and consoles, bringing with it a more colorful and relaxing take on the ARPG formula. Despite it looking a little bit shaky on some of the previews, the launch of Minecraft: Dungeons ended up being pretty darn solid, and I'm glad to say there will be even more of it coming in the near future!
According to Mojang, there are currently two major pieces of paid DLCs in the work, as well as plethora of free content for everyone to enjoy. Most importantly of all, the team is also in the process of adding cross-platform functionality!

[Update #2]: The Genji buffs have now gone live alongside a 'priority requeue' system for canceled games!
[Update]: Blizzard has shared the list of the most popular, user-made game modes for Overwatch.
Despite being one of the most popular heroes in Overwatch since the very beginning, Genji is not exactly in a good place right now. The steady stream of buffs to other character has rendered his damage output nearly meaningless in comparison, while the introduction of counter heroes like Brigitte or Moira has left him without the ability to safely close the distance and fight the enemy backline.
All of that will soon be in the past, however, as Blizzard has now released some rather juicy Genji buffs as a part of the newest experimental mode. The update has also buffed Hanzo's storm arrows, nerfed Echo's beam, as well as given Moira a bit of a strange rebalance. Here's what's being changed:

[Update #2]: Valorant's Competitive Mode has now finally gone live alongside a variety of other changes.
[Update]: Valorant update has improved performance across the board, as well as nerfed Sage.
After a surprisingly brief closed beta phase, Riot Games' 5v5 competitive shooter Valorant has now arrived for PC. So if you're in the mood for some team-based action where mistakes can get punished quite severely, you might want to give Valorant a fair try given that it's entirely free.
As for the actual gameplay, Valorant is often described as a hybrid between Counter-Strike and Overwatch, though with far more emphasis on the former. In other words, while there are heroes with unique abilities and ultimates, Valorant mostly plays like a slightly faster version of Counter-Strike with many of the same map design ideas and strategies. From my experience it's a pretty solid shooter, though obviously somewhat niche given how heavily it relies on patience and teamwork over raw mechanical skill.

[Update #2]: Outriders has now been unleashed alongside a free demo!
Developed by People Can Fly, the team behind Bulletstorm and Painkiller, Outriders will feature four unique classes and a fair few ways to customize your playstyle. Also, much like Destiny 2 from which it draws a great deal of inspiration, Outriders will be all about mowing down hordes of enemies and then rummaging through their oversized pockets for that sweet, sweet loot.
If you're wondering what this looks like in action, as well as what the moment-to-moment gameplay has to offer, you'll find what you seek through the recently posted preview. Have a looksie:

[Update #2]: Metro Exodus' free PC Enhanced Edition will be launching on May 6, 2021!
[Update]: From what I can tell, the update has now gone through without a hitch.
A little while ago the Metro Exdous devs released a small hotfix in order to remove the Denuvo Anti-Tamper integration and fix some of the more common crashing problems. In a bit of an ironic twist, the patch itself ended up causing crashes for a large portion of the playerbase, which then quickly prompted the team to do a full roll-back.
As such, the removal of Denuvo and all of the various changes will be coming as a part of the next update. Usually this would happen quite quickly, but due to the pandemic making things harder on every front, you might have to wait a few more days to get a smoother Metro Exodus experience.

In an announcement that comes as quite a pleasant surprise, Wasteland 2 has now introduced "Play Anywhere" functionality between the Xbox One and Microsoft Store versions. Because of this, owning a copy on either platform will now grant you ownership on both, in addition to sharing save files and achievements between the two versions.
There is a little bit of a catch, however. If you're on PC and you installed Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut before May 20, 2020, you'll need to go and separately install the Play Anywhere version. As soon as you launch the Play Anywhere version your save files and achievements will be uploaded to the cloud, after which you'll have full access to the above-mentioned features.

At this point, Dead By Daylight is basically the ultimate horror cross-over game, and things are only looking to get crazier as time goes on. It already features the likes of Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, Ghost Face and even Left 4 Dead's eternally-grumpy Bill, and soon the roster will be expanded once more with Silent Hill's Cherly Mason and Pyramid Head.
Besides the aforementioned killer and survivor, the upcoming DLC Chapter will also add an iconic location from Silent Hill as a brand new map - the Midwich Elementary School. Expect to see a nightmarish maze of twisting hallways, slowly rotting scenery, and plenty of oppressive darkness to help with the atmosphere.

[Update #2]: The base version of The Sims 4 is now entirely free-to-play on both PC and consoles.
[Update]: The Eco Lifestyle expansion has now arrived, and so far it's looking quite fun.
The Sims 4's latest content pack Eco Lifestyle is set to arrive this June 5th for both PC and consoles. Among other things, Eco Lifestyle will bring with it the ability to produce your own electricity and water through the use of solar panels, wind turbines and dew collectors. Relying on these types of green technologies will ensure the skies stay blue and the rivers remain clear, while the opposite will see your cities covered in smog, the rivers polluted, and the neighborhoods riddled with trash.
You'll also have the ability to collaborate with your neighborhood through the new voting board and ensure major changes happen everywhere at once. Provided you can manage to convince enough people that your course of action is the correct one anyway! And if you're just in it for the decorations, Eco Lifestyle will also be adding a variety of pre-used items that you can buy or scavenge yourself, as well as furniture and technology made from reclaimed materials.
