[Update]: Overwatch devs are working on two experimental updates, the first of which bring some Genji nerfs.

A short while ago Blizzard released an experimental update that brought with it some really juicy Genji buffs. The damage of his primary fire was increased from 28 to 30, the spread of his secondary fire reduced from 12 to 9, while his deflect not only became manually cancelable, but it also got buffed from 1.5 to 2 seconds!

While there were a fair few players expressing worry about Genji's newfound power, it would appear that Blizzard was quite happy with the results as they have now unleashed this patch onto the live servers! The update has also brought with it a small Hanzo buff, a relatively serious Echo nerf, and even an audio 'nerf' for Orisa - just to spice things up, I suppose! You can find the full list of changes, and the accompanying Workshop tweaks, over at the Overwatch website.

The good news doesn't end there, however, as Blizzard has also introduced a 'priority requeue' system for canceled games! So if your match gets shut down because someone left within the first minute, rejoice as you'll no longer get sent to the very back of the queue. A small change in the grand scheme of things, but one that brings me no end of joy!

It's also worth mentioning that Competitive Open Queue Season 2 has now landed onto the Arcade. This game mode will last for around two weeks, after which Blizzard is aiming to add it as a permanent (though secondary) competitive mode. So if you're in the mood for wacky compositions, give the Arcade a look.

Have fun, and good luck with your placements!
