World of Warcraft: Classic demo will be available for BlizzCon ticket owners, both virtual or physical

After the classic phrase "You think you do, but you don't," and the absolutely astonishing avalanche of arguments that followed it, Blizzard finally announced back in November of 2017 that they are officially working on World of Warcraft: Classic. While the details are still few and far between, what I can tell you is that the new-old World of Warcraft will feature all of the same sensibilities, strengths and flaws of the original.
If you're like me and you're wondering what exactly Blizzard means by this, you might be interested to hear that a World of Warcraft: Classic demo will be included alongside the BlizzCon ticket, both physical and virtual. While certainly exciting, it is important to mention that this will cost you a fair bit of money as even the Virtual Ticket is a rather hefty €40!
The WildStar MMO will be closing down its doors for good on November 28th

While the original version of WildStar was quite an interesting new MMO, it unfortunately launched with some major flaws that ended up scaring away both the casual and hardcore parts of the playerbase - a blow WildStar has just never managed to recover from. And now, four years after launch, I am saddened to announce that WildStar will be closing down its doors for good on November 28th.
"We are truly grateful for the vibrant community that grew around WildStar, and for all of your support throughout the life of this game," reads the rather heartfelt developer update. "Our hope is that in these last couple months we can all celebrate the great adventures you’ve had on Planet Nexus—and have some fun along the way."
After six years in development, the extremely stylish racing-platformer Distance has now landed on Steam

After six years in development and more than three years in Steam Early Access, the highly atmospheric and extremely stylish racing-platformer Distance has now finally been released in full. Expect to see futuristic cars fly through the air and drive upside down, tracks that seem to have a very casual relationship with gravity, as well as a whole bunch of obstacles to overcome at high speed... or simply crash into for the fun of it!
Since trying to explain these types of games through words alone is pretty much a pointless venture, allow me to show you the recently posted launch trailer. It'll tell you just about everything you need to know about Distance and its gameplay. Have a look, the visuals really are quite lovely:
The very first episode of Life is Strange 2 has now arrived for both PC and consoles alongside highly positive reviews

[Update]: The new Life is Strange: True Colors will be dropping the the pace-ruining episodic format.
After the massive success of both Life is Strange and its prequel Before the Storm, the series has now returned in order to try to strike gold for the third time with Life is Strange 2. However, unlike the first two games which focused on a fairly similar cast of characters, Life is Strange 2 has opted to go with an entirely different setting and entirely new characters: brothers Sean and Daniel.
While I won't go into any details in order to avoid potential spoilers, I can tell you that the two brothers will be forced to run away from home after a tragic accident. And so during their attempt to flee into Mexico they will discover a mysterious supernatural power, a power that will offer them a way towards salvation... or perhaps even further danger.
According to Valve's latest blog post, over 30 million PC gamers have at least one controller

Even though PC gaming is more popular and better supported than ever, that are simply some games that just don't function well with a classic mouse & keyboard combo. For me the best example of this would be action-RPG games like Dark Souls or Monster Hunter: World, because while they may be fully playable with a mouse & keyboard, the experience is nowhere near ideal when compared to the flexibility you gain by using a controller.
It would appear that there are a lot of other PC gamers that share this sort of sentiment, because according to Valve's recent blog post on controller gaming on Steam, more than 30 million Steam users have a controller! What might come as an even bigger surprise is that 15 million of those players have more than one controller at their disposal, which to me indicates that there is a larger intersection between console and PC gaming than most would assume.
The dinosaur park management sim Parkasaurus has now stampeded onto Steam Early Access

If you found yourself disappointed with the recent Jurassic World Evolution and you're currently looking for something else to fill to void, you might want to check out the freshly released Parkasaurus. As you would imagine from something called Parkasaurus, it's a bright and colorful dinosaur park management sim that will ask of you to not only construct fabulous (and extremely profitable) exhibits, but also ensure that each and ever single dinosaur is well cared for.
You can get a pretty decent idea of what all of this looks like in-game through one of the latest trailers down below. It's not exactly a long video, so I would highly recommend checking it out as Parkasaurus is quite adorable! Have a gander:
Overwatch's newest Control map Busan is now finally available in Competitive Play
- By Ash
- in News
After spending a little bit of time on the PTR, Overwatch's newest Control map Busan finally made its way to the live servers on September 11th. I order to give everyone enough time to adjust it was initially only available in Quick Play and Arcade game modes, though that restriction has now been lifted and Busan has been fully integrated into the Competitive Play map pool.
Before you rush into Competitive Play to check the new map out in a 'proper' setting, I would highly, highly advise you first explore it in a custom game. The reason I say this is because the third portion of the Busan map contains some of the most complex level geometry and the most flank routes of any map in the game. So unless you actually take the time to figure out where all of the various tunnels and hallways go, you might just find yourself at a significant disadvantage.
