Subnautica devs have announced a chilling new standalone expansion - Subnautica: Below Zero

This probably won't come as much of a surprise given how many teasers and concept artwork we've been shown so far, but Unknown Worlds have just announced a chilling new standalone expansion for Subnautica - Below Zero. It'll offer a brand new storyline set in the Subnautica universe, and will take place in the ice-bound region of planet 4546B after the events of the original game.
The details are still few and far between, but Unknown Worlds have confirmed that the core gameplay mechanics such as base-building and open-ended exploration will still be the focus of Below Zero. They're also tinkering with the idea of adding more voiced dialogue to better flesh out the story, as well as introducing thermal management as a major gameplay mechanic. Since Below Zero is still early in development none of this is set in stone, but it should at least give you an indication of what direction Unknown Worlds wants to take Subnautica in.
World of Warcraft update has greatly sped up the previously sluggish Auction House

[Update]: Blizzard has sped up the action house even more by throttling most automated actions.
Ever since Battle for Azeroth arrived, World of Warcraft's Auction House has become unbearably slow and unresponsive, especially on larger servers. This was partly due to the larger than usual influx of players, and partly because some special people out there prefer to post their massive auctions one piece at a time, thus bogging down the servers and ruining things for everyone.
With that in mind, I am very glad to announce that Blizzard have now implemented some rather pricey deposit costs that greatly favor large stacks over tons of smaller ones. Since this is best explained through an example, allow me to share one Blizzard themselves have provided:
Vermintide 2's Shadows Over Bogenhafen DLC has arrived with new maps and a variety of cosmetics

Vermintide 2's very first DLC was supposed to arrive in late April/early May, but due to some unfortunate bugs that took up most of Fatshark's time it ended up being delayed. The long wait is now finally over, however, as Shadows Over Bogenhafen has now arrived on PC, while the Xbox One version will be getting it fairly shortly.
In terms of content, Shadows Over Bogenhafen brings with it two of the biggest maps Vermintide has ever seen, as well as a variety of cosmetics to collect. If you're up for a little bit of a sneak peek, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. Have a gander:
Cyberpunk 2077 devs have shared the very first and truly impressive 48-minute gameplay preview

[Update #2]: Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed until September 17th in order to ensure the developers get enough time to polish everything up.
[Update]: CDPR has now released a cinematic trailer highlighting what happens when a job goes really bad.
Trying to learn more about Cyberpunk 2077 has not been an easy task, to put it lighty. The very first trailer arrived five years ago, after which CDPR went completely silent about Cyberpunk 2077, much to the chagrin of eager fans. We finally got some actual 'gameplay' footage during E3 2018, though unfortunately, CDPR once again refused to go into any sort of details.
With all of that waiting in mind, I hope you can realize just how surprised I was when I logged into Youtube and realized that CDPR has not only posted a gameplay preview, but that they have posted one that's 48 minutes long! So if you're wondering what exactly Cyberpunk 2077 is really all about, look no further than the video below:
Hollow Knight's final chapter has now arrived with new bosses, secrets, and even a new game mode

After a whole bunch of excellent and content-filled updates, Hollow Knights has now received it's final chapter. The rather aptly named "Godmaster" update brings with it new and most likely insanely difficult bosses to tackle, new NPCs to chat around with, new secrets to uncover, new areas to explore, new music to listen to, and the list goes on.
There is unfortunately no lengthy trailer showing off all of this new content in action, but you can get a bit of a sneak peek through the announcement trailer down below. It's nothing too exciting, but it should give you a pretty darn good hint of what the secret new game mode is. Have a look:
World of Warcraft's latest Warbringers short explores Azshara's fall and the origins of the Naga

In order to get everyone up to speed on Battle for Azeroth's lore and character, Blizzard has recently begun releasing 'Warbringers' animated shorts. The first two launched ahead of Battle for Azeroth and provided some much-needed context for the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance, while the most recent one is here to show off that there is a far greater threat lurking in the depths.
So if you're interested in seeing how Queen Azshara and her Naga armies came to be, you'll find the answers you seek right below. Have a look, the cinematic is pretty darn enjoyable, though it unfortunately doesn't feature a song as catchy as Jaina's:
Monster Hunter: World PC Review - An excellent start for a new generation of Monster Hunter games

[Update]: My review of Monster Hunter Rise (PC), the 2022 successor to Monster Hunter: World, has now been released and I'm very happy to say that it's a great port for a compelling yet somewhat unambitious Monster Hunter game.
Monster Hunter: World has been available on consoles for quite a few months now, while the PC version was held back in order to ensure a fully polished experience. Now that it has finally arrived, the big questions are: has Monster Hunter: World been worth the wait, and is the PC port any good?
The simple answers would be "yes" and "kind of", but since that doesn't exactly tell you much about Monster Hunter: World's strengths and flaws, allow me to share some of my thoughts after spending a rather considerable amount of time chopping up dinosaurs and adorning my character with enough spikes to shame a World of Warcraft Orc.
