This shouldn't come as too much of a shock given that the announcement had more leaks than a submarine made out of Emmental cheese, but Hitman 2 has now been officially revealed. Much like its predecessor, Hitman 2 will bring with it a 6 brand new and large sandbox locations to muck around in, as well as an even greater focus on environmental kills and sabotage. Unlike its predecessors, however, Hitman 2 will finally allow us to use a rather sizable and hopefully floppy fish as a weapon!

While there isn't much in terms of gameplay information available just yet, the developers did release a rather fetching new trailer. If nothing else, it'll give you a pretty darn good idea of the sort of nonsense IO Interactive is looking to allow us to get up to. Have a look:

Hitman 2 will not be using the previously established episodic format, so once it arrives on November 13th you'll be able to enjoy all of the missions from the get-go. As before, post-launch content will come in the form of new Elusive Targets and fancy cosmetics, though there will also be the occasional piece of DLC, most likely bringing in new locations to explore and weapons to tinker with.

If you ever wanted to bring a friend with you so they can help mess up all of your plans and get you killed, you'll be glad to hear that the co-op focused Sniper Assassin game mode has also been announced. It's going to be available as a pre-order incentive for Hitman 2 and will be playable in both singleplayer or cooperative multiplayer for two players.

You can find out a bit more by visiting the official website, and for now I'll leave you with the rather brief trailer for the Sniper Assassin mode. Enjoy!
