While its an outstanding idea for Origin to offer free games in order to entice people to join their service, I'm still puzzled on why they haven't worked on expanding their mostly EA-centric catalog so that they can be an actual competitor to Steam, and not just "that" place you have to go to for your Battlefield fix.
Either way, Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault is currently "on the house", and as far as memory serves, its a rather good game. Here's the trailer and a reminder of how far graphics have come the past decade:

A mere three weeks after Update 4, the Prison Architect developers are back again with a brand new patch, this one quite possibly being the most important update to date as it brings significant performance improvements to a game that could chug like a choo-choo train when you start building big.
Aside from performance increases, Update 5 also expands upon the recently implemented heating system through the addition of hot-water pipes and boilers, as well as the super-secret 3D mode. Here's the developer video, and if you're not up for some banter feel free to just skip to around 8 minutes:

Its funny how all of this started. Back when I first saw Dark Souls at my friend's house I vowed I would never play such an imbalanced and unfair game, yet a couple of years later and here we are, I'm practically frothing at the mouth while waiting for Dark Souls 3 to destroy me... I might have issues.
It doesn't help that Fromsoftware have started to release a steady stream of Dark Souls 3 information, today in the form of a brand new trailer which showcases some of the more interesting boss designs out there, and also a giant enemy crab! Have a look:

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Payday 2. On one hand its an excellent game in which I've invested over 100 hours falling of various buildings and getting tased, but on the other its a constantly repeating cycle of great DLC practices followed by utterly despicable ones, with seemingly no middle ground.
While I might have some issues with it, its still great to hear that Payday 2 is now available on SteamOS, and most importantly, given to you for free if you already own it on the PC.

Its no secret at this point that the original implementation of the "survival" mode in Fallout 4 was fairly lackluster. Having to expend entire clips at bare-chested bandits was definitely an increase in difficulty, just not really the type anyone asked for.
However, the upcoming Survival mode rework is a completely different story as it introduces lethal combat (for both you and the enemies), diseases, fatigue, and a whole bunch of other nasty features you'll have to keep an eye out for, or end up as a bloody discussion piece at some bandit camp.

Episode 5 of Telltale's Minecraft: Story Mode, titled as Order Up, will be releasing on March 29th, and just as many community members have speculated, it won't be the final episode in the series.
According to a recent announcement, Telltale is currently working on three extra post-season chapters that will continue on with the story from Episode 5 and release over the coming months.

Morrowind Rebirth is, surprisingly enough, a TES: Morrowind mod that is all about enhancing the gameplay experience through the addition of new creatures, armor, weapons, as well as various zone overhauls, graphical improvements and bug/balance fixes.
Update 3.6 brings with it massive overhauls to three zones (Red Mountain, Ghostgate, Suran Dock), numerous bug fixes, balance tweaks and a few more features. You can find the full change log and download link over at the Morrowind Rebirth moddb page.

It might not be the patch the community was clamoring for, but the Dota 2 Spring Cleaning update is one of the most significant patches in the rage-simulator's history.
There are no balance changes, or even new heroes, instead its an entire massive update devoted solely towards making Dota 2 a much more pleasurable game to play through a variety of quality of life changes and UI improvements. Here's my quick overview of all the important additions and changes:
